  well sad to say it was not revelations of sweeping reform or "new light" on caring for the flock.

  the first day was primarily rehash of old stuff.

  I admire you messenger for having the gonads to feel the way you do about the borg and sit and endure these legalistic meetings.
  
  I like that 15-min. micro-managing of flock hours initiative. How sweet.

  The real control tactic is seen in the conductor-overseer switch.

  "Hours-padders" beware! (I'm sure some are here, too...)
  You will be caught out because over-reporters will be nabbed more quickly with more local scrutiny on number of hours reported. Falsified reports will be more readily sniffed out! If you pad, you will be accountable to an overseer for that little chat!

  It seems that two more clicks of the ratchet have that bolt of WT oppression tightening...

  How we Know that Evolution is a Fact

  there has been a number of threads related to evolution in the last month or so.

  some posters, like penn, subscribes to a form of creationism, which i for this purpose will define as denial of large scale evolution (sometimes called macro-evolution).. even saner people sometimes alleges that scientists are unnecessarily 'dogmatic' about evolution, and that this is 'just a theory.

  ' these people may be recent exjws or jws, still believing the watchtower propaganda against evolutionary science, or accepting similar claims from various fundamentalist preachers and groups.

  anewperson: I'm glad you're of the open-mind set! Don't take what I said as a personal attack, instead see into it what many organizations print anti-evolution or anti-creation articles on the basis of what I mentioned was an adversarial mentality instead of the healthy debate I see take place here.

  Please Tell Me About Ex-Dub Love

  i think it is a bit sad that finding and keeping love in our lives is a bit of an uphill struggle.

  when i had to choose between the real world and the watchtower world years ago, my parents told me that i would never find love out there in this wicked system of things.

  they quoted me scriptures which avowed the myth that only real love comes from the fruitage of the spirit and what passes for love in the world is nothing but lust.

  Yes, Pat, especially if one gets a Doctorate of Divinity! One locally does a radio talk show and it's amazing how points he makes are controversial yet well positioned.

  i heard an announcement was made at another congregations meeting.. the "brother", was publicly reproved.. no biggie.. heres what i'm having a tough time with..... they announced exactly what his restrictions were.

  i thought just an anouncement and thats it, why start naming restrictions ?

  next, they'll be stating reasons for df'ing and stuff.. can i get former or present elderr thoughts?

  i've been reading all your comments since i found the un thread.

  (i'm not angry- just hit the wrong button!

  should have called my self crap with keyboard )have read all with great interest since then; meeting attendance and hours down to zero... but feeling pretty low.angry,shocked, dissapointed etc ,funny how it hits you .any way ;just a little question; i cant(this typing is getting embarassing) just ignore it.
