This behavior is despicable! How very small, extremely rude, and terribly unkind of them just to not "show up" after suggesting this meeting. Hardly worthy of the Ambassadors of Christ that they claim to be.

And THESE are the gentle shepherds who are SO eager and willing to give comfort and counsel to the sheep that Jesus entrusted to their care? I seem to recall something about their "accountability" to Jehovah for the sheep they lose.

I also remember reading that Jehovah is patient with the sheep and doesn't want ANY to be destroyed. How do these arrogant Elders account for all this?

THIS is how they "feed" Jesus' sheep, as he asked?

Their haloes and "fine works" are rapidly slipping to resemble the "works of darkness" found in motel rooms rented by the hour, and in parking lots where a whole lot more than "upbuilding talk" would be going down.

Disgusting hypocrites!!!!!!! (censoring MYSELF here) but this will "do" for now.

Tallyman's gallery of the grotesque

hi.i'm kind of new here,although i have been lurking for a while,and i was wondering if anyone knew where a site called the gallery of the grotesque went.it was a site that had a bunch of armegeddon pictures from different watchtower publications.. .

a picture really is worth a thousand words,and i've printed out and used those more than once,not only to prove to witnesses that,yes,everyone but them will die at armegeddon,according to their own publications,but to show non witnesses quickly and effectively how much hate they peddle about the outside world.. .

now the site's not there,and i was wondering if it was moved,or if there was another,similar one out there.. .

Welcome to the board! Interesting, isn't it?

I've been wondering the same thing about Tallyman and his site myself. There was some great "stuff" on his "gallery", and I used it a lot to show others how the Watchtower REALLY views things.

I miss Tom's posts, and I miss his website. I'm very concerned about him. I keep hoping SOMEBODY will pop in and tell us if they know anything about why our Tallyman has been so quiet the last few months.

Tom.......if you're out there, WAVE at your monitor to let us know you're OKAY!!!!

help needed for the silentlambs organization

due to the increasing workload associated with silentlambs i am requesting assistance to help with certain aspects of the organization.

i have created the following positions which will include the listed duties.

At first I thought YES! as I read the topic, but MY eyes glazed over reading the words; audit, bookeeping, negotiating, co-ordinating, developing and designing, and collecting :o(

WRITING-----sending thank-you's and such-----that would be more my speed! I don't have the business savvy or the qualifications for much else to even be of any help to you.....

I'll continue to bombard the local media as your newsworthy events unfold, just as I've been doing for quite a while now.

Guess I'm a "Silent Info-Pusher" for "Silentlambs"...LOL!

I truly wish I COULD apply for any of the positions you mentioned; my heart would be in it, but I'd really be shortchanging Silentlambs.

My cat--Need Your Help in Naming Her

i have a new cat.

a smallish young adult (1-2 years old) female, with black & gold back and white chest, belly and feet.

i can't come up with a name i like.

I'm a certified "cat nut", so I'm enjoying this topic immensely!

We've had Bitsy (dark calico), Piddles (black & white like a cow print), Duffy (HUGE calico longhair), Ricky (orange & white mix, one of my daughters named him, and another of hers was Tony, orange & lots of white) Priscilla, ( a big all-grey longhair) Trubbles (tabby w/ lots of white) Bandit, (multicolor with patches over his eyes like a mask) Ploom, (pale gray & white longhair with a tail like a fat feather or a plume on an old-fashioned ladies hat) Ploom was the sweetest and best-tempered cat I can ever remember having. We had him 15 years before he died 2 1/2 years ago, we still miss him terribly.

We now (2 years) have Molly and Mandy from the shelter, Molly is a very pale calico mix (she can drown out the TV when she PURRS SO LOUD!!!) Mandy ( regular Tabby cat and a REAL clown)

I had a chance to get a Main Coon (sigh) but hubby said two's enough for now....I call'em my fur kids :o)

Friends had cats named Winky, Muff, Purrty, Martha, Rosie, Jinx, Trixie, Chester, Boomer, Pete, Poncho and Cheddar!

There ya go!

Also, my dearest friend of 20+ years used to say that, it always made me laugh. It brought such a warm rush to me when I read it today.

She died of Cancer 10 years ago.....

OR...you can admit that the WTS does NOT "represent Jehovah", does not deal fairly with its members, and is a mind-controlling, manipulative, and evil cult!

Bright side of a BAD day

it started out having a bad day.... no babysitter had to miss work , friend came over so i went to get a haircut, she followed me there and took care of michael, on the way home, on the freeway, i was on the the third lane to the left and the car engine shuts off and i had to get three lanes over to the right, in major traffic, i barley made and the car dies.. i started to panick cause it's dark and i have michael and i'm on a freeway.... so i get michael and start walking and praying, and this man pulled over and i started to get even more nervous but i accepted the ride, he took me to a gas station and well his truck was really high , like three in a half feet, well i had forgotten about that so when i steped out of his truck i fell with michael in my arms he started screaming and i started to ball my head off.. okay here's my point like 3 people there helped me, the gas station let me use there phone and gave me something to drink, a couple wouldn't leave until they knew i was taken care of offered me money for a cab or tow truck, they waited like 15 minutes.. i thought of you all, who really didn't know me, but were there for me when i needed it the most, there are some really great people out there, and it doesn't matter what religion you belong to.

I'm so glad that you and little Michael are okay, and got home "safe and sound", as they say.

It really IS a surprise sometimes, to see how many nice folks ARE willing to help-quickly-and with no "payment" or obligation. We were so conditioned to think that all "worldly" people were "out to get us", and that we could ONLY trust our fellow believers....HAH!!!!!

watched connie chung last night with my wife, an active jw.

right after it ended she called a very close relative - a very active jw.

pioneered, brought hundreds in, husband an elder, witness since the 50s.

sKALLY, I had the SAME problem! GRRRR!

I sent it three times, starting on Sunday the 11th......the first time they refused it because the link to the article needed a password to access......so I sent the link from the Seattle paper--same article--it never got printed.......so on Tuesday I sent the Seattle link AND a printout AND the fact (all three times) politely mentioning that these pedophiles are still encouraged to preach from door-to-door, where they talk to anyone who opens the door.

I added that as a Mom, I thought it was important that everyone be alerted to this.

Still zip.

It really is beginning to tick me off, cuz I went through this same rigamarole when a young man who was molested by a local priest, was interviewed in silhouette on our ABC channel...and I emailed a lot of pertinent info about Silentlambs, Dateline, etc....TWICE in a two-week period, to the lady that did the interview...

I emailed the same info (BBC, Dateline, etc) to all the other channels that HAVE email addies set up to TAKE newsworthy items....

They don't seem to give a flip about it unless it's about the Catholic Church, and I even asked why they refused to consider what I sent, when it was the same problem-different religion!!
