Harmful or Dangerous?
by Sunspot inin view of the recent ban in russia, and the statement that the government feels that the wts is considered harmful and dangerous, my thoughts are these;
i think that anyone or anything that purposely tampers with the very fabric of people's families, is dangerous, but that's just the way i see it.
maybe this sounds extreme, but then the watchtower society is extreme, and too, i speak from personal experience.. .

Adopting Resolutions
by Sunspot inbetween 1970-1999, i remember different "resolutions" being read and adopted (by applause) at the distict conventions.. i can't remember any of them or even what they were about, or anything about them.. does anyone know anything about these resolutions, or if the wts still reads these at the conventions any more?.
if anyone has these, could they post them please?.

psalm 37:29; "the righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.".
psalm 37:34; "hope in jehovah and keep his way, and he will exalt you to take possession of the earth.

Saying Amen Out Loud
by Sunspot inafter having been accustomed to three decades of prayers at the kingdom hall, where "amen" was said out loud at the end; i then attended a large church funeral for a relative---the pastor said a prayer---and *i* said "amen" out loud.
much to my embarrassment, out of over a hundred or so people there, i was the only one that did..............[color me red].
are jws the only ones who do this?.

The Ice Storm Of The Century
by Sunspot ini mentioned to sheilam yesterday that we had experienced a weather-related nightmare here too, and said i'd post about it later.
a few weeks ago we were hit with a terrible ice storm.
they say it was the worst storm to hit here in well over 100 years.

Can a JW PLEASE answer my question on baptism?
by Sunspot inwitnesses always strongly state that they strictly follow the commands of jesus and all bible principles.. i have such an important (to me, anyway) question that i would appreciate a meaningful answer to:.
at matthew 28:19, jesus issues a direct command to his followers, that being: "go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing then in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit".
why doesn't the wbts then follow this command, which has never changed, and taken it upon themselves to add to and alter what the bible clearly states on this?.

Has Erica Rodriguez had her baby?
by Sunspot indoes anyone know if erica has had her baby yet?.
it was made known to me a couple of months ago that she could really use some help with things for her new baby and i so wanted to help out.. i've crocheted a few things for the "new arrival" and haven't heard a word about her in quite a while.
i'd like to send these things to her, but i don't know 1) if the baby has been born yet, 2)if everything went "smoothly" and all is well, and 3) how do i go about .
