they are usually not identified, but we can presume that they would mostly be of the children of the elites and their associates in pyongyang.. it is thought by western observers that only people loyal to the state are allowed to live in that city.. calligraphy is an important art form in the east asian area, and nk is not an exception.

I am ashamed to say how much Song, after 30 something years all that i can say is DAMM!! what a waste of time and energy, happily my wife and daughter and mom are out completely out, as for the rest of the family, hope they knock themselves out!....inso4

i attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.

i was already divided in my heart to say the least.

one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

Brothers who were held back from being elder for stupid reasons?

do you know of any cases where brothers didn't get to be elder for a stupid/bogus reason even though they otherwise qualified?

do you think some/most appointments are politicially motivated?

how much do you think politics plays in the appointment process versus merit?

Welcome toto555,..... its a man made religion with man made appointments (ain't nothing holy about it).... I've been removed I think at least 6 or 7 times maybe more from various parts of the butt kissing latter.....one of those "appointments" lasted for 1 week....then....GONG!!!..... Hang around, lots to learn here......inso4

My Letter to Brooklyn about the Parousia that got me disfellowshipped

this is the letter i wrote back in '96 about the parousia.

following the '95 watchtower that disconnected the "generation" from 1914 i began to look carefully at end-time prophecy and soon discovered what i knew were basic errors in what i had been taught.. i was a loyal jw at the time and was still serving as an elder.

i used only watchtower publications in my research.

Pure religion

james 1:27 says that pure religion is to look after orphans and widows in their distress.

and in luke chapter 10 jesus explains what we must do to inherit life, and he goes on and talks about the parable of the good samaritan.. i believe that helping the poor and the needy is the way jesus really wanted the good news of the kingdom to be preach.

even in acts after pentecost they sold off their belongings and gave to the poor.

Crazyguy, its a great thing to give to the needy the suffering the poor, e.g. food, money whatever you have to give, if everyone did this there would no be starving children, "victims" of war ect. But don't let that stop you or me!!! Pure religion works.....

Cofty, you wrote a perfect letter and they disfellowshipped you!! When I wrote them and told the local BOE that the whole concept was a money making scam, I called them every bad name I could think of. Publicly at the meetings, blasting the self-righteous local BOE over and over and all they did was give a marking talk. Them stupid basturds can even get that right! What a bunch of idiots.....inso4

Started a New Job and guess what?

i recently got hired finally, by a small pest control company.

well on my first day i rode along with a guy to train and he strikes up a convo about him and his wife being christians.

he asked me if i go to church and i tell him about my background as a former witness.
