i have heard rumors for over a year now that the wt is not going to have a 2014 dc.
i know they are having a circuit assembly and special day talk assembly but what about their yearly dc.
has anybody heard anything?.
These district conventions are big money for WT Scam Society, Cash Cows. Off the backs of the uninformed JWs. How much money do you think they
are gonna scam this year off the DCs. According to their website, there will not be any DCs at any of their assembly halls in the US. I wonder why?

so during the serve-us meeting last night an elder says something really dumb..as usual.
it was the km part about doing better in field serve-us.
they are discussing how to reach people, and how to be nice, blah, blah.. the eldub says, "we want to be kind to our neighbors, and talk to them and take an interest.
They've said that same crap over and over again from the platform, for example: if a householder seems ill, ask them if you can get them something from
the store. (they usually say 'no thanks', so it makes for a good witness). These idiot elders indoctrinating these people to be PHONY.. What a shame!

maybe a bit of background information here to see where i am going with this thread.i only had a basic education , leaving school as a 14 year old.
though being grouded in the three r`s reading, righting, and rithmatic.my first job lasted over 12years , had a few interesting jobs in the intervening years , and my last job lasted 28 years.
retiring at the age of 68 years.i consider myself fortunate to have had a good work ethic.now getting back to my topic , i was converted as a 20 year old , and as i said with only a basic education .

i am doing one of my dreams for a while: growing a beard.
it may not seem like much, but it's quite the experience for me.
it's probably a rite of passage from jw to exjw lol.. besides the itchyness, i hate it that it curls so much (i have hairs that naturally start to curl after a certain length).. anyone here have tips on taking care of a beard?
Just let it grow, the itching will eventually go away. Trim it where you see fit. Always looking clean and smelling good.
When you happen to cross paths with the JWs you know, even though most might not even look at you..
