I know the feeling, it usually starts during the opening prayer and lingers untill the final amen. I only occasionly attend meetings now as they are not good for my sanity. Kinda sad because I have family and friends there who I love, but going to meetings is like eating rotten food. During the final talk at the last CA I had to leave, I had well and truly had enough.

39Flipping out at the meeting
by BU2B inunfortunatley, i still go to many meetings as i am working on getting my wife to wake up.
for the most part i maintain my composure but there have been two or three times when i actually have gotten so upset and the frustration built so high that i have come very come close to actually slamming something down or pounding the table in the literature room, or shouting out how i felt!
has anyone else felt this way?

My life of Debauchery since leaving WTBT$-They were right!!!
by Gojira_101 insince april 1st will be officially 6 months and i will be considered inactive, i thought this would be a good time for me to review my life since leaving....and i guess wtbt$ is right in that my life would return to a debauched state if i left them...so here is my review and i'm being totally serious here.. .
sex: yes i have sex with my husband.....i guess we have returned to the world because we take advantage of our marital dues.. related to sex: no longer just missionary.
drugs: yes i have been taking drugs......my allergies have been so bad the last few days i just couldn't handle it anymore and i gave in to the temptation to take over the counter allergies medicine.. rock and roll: yes......i am no longer listening to the kingdom melodies (i never really did anyways), and have gone to listening to the devils music.

Does a pirate get to walk the plank into the baptismal pool? If he had peg leg and a hook hand, does he get to keep them in the new system? Will his parrot that he kept on his shoulder get a chance at everlasting life?
I think these are valid questions that Jehovah's organization needs to answer.

I never went near any house that had a dog sign, mainly because I was looking for any excuse to avoid making contact with people. Just a gate was enough for me to skip to the next house.... the guy in the next house looks busy lets move on to the next house....... that cat looks creepy better skip that one and ...... I think it's your turn on this door Brother X, I did the last one two weekends ago.

Memorial Invites from Door to Door?
by NeonMadman inis this the first year that the jws have been out aggressively handing out memorial invitations from door to door?
i've been out for about 12 years now, but as i recall, congregations used to receive a relatively limited number of memorial invitations, and they were pretty much reserved for bible studies, good rvs, inactive persons, and others who had some sort of connection to the organization.
they were not just randomly handed out from house to house - that was what the "special talk" invitations were for.. it occurs to me that this might be an attempt by the wts to pump up the memorial attendance so as to maintain the illusion of continued growth.

Someone came with an invitation for me Saturday, and it had an invite to the special talk as we.. A two-for?
This has been the same in the past, with an invite also for the special talk. At the end of the Memorial, there is an announcement about the special talk and all are invited to attend.
The problem is, all the visitors are so confused about the other sheep, the bride of Christ, the little flock, the great crowd, the anointed, the 24 elders and the rejecting of the sacred emblems that they don't feel like going back.

@Gojira_101 You or your father need not worry about Lars taking the thread of topic.
Most who visit this site regularly are familiar with the content of Lars' posts and don't even feel the need to read them. Telling people here to ignore Lars is like telling people here to ignore the GB.... you are preaching to the converted. Some like to read what he says just to refute him, kinda like reading the WT just to find the errors in logic. But please understand that Lars has not said anything here that he hasn't said before, and his posts have not really taken away from the original discussion.
In saying that, it is a shame that a relatively simple issue, constantly gets clouded by pages and pages of irrelevant information.
