Hargitay, your story is so sad, hang on in there. I can only stress what others have said, save your kids, get back to them, you know what poison they will be getting fed.

Our First Halloween
by Red Piller in(i grew up in the "truth".
) very risky, considering we are still active in the cong..... so we started at the first house and methodically walked up and down each driveway as worked along the street.. we were quickly over-taken by kids who were zig-zagging across lawns and doing houses in random order.
suddenly, it dawned on me.

HUGE, Faithful and discreet slave SEPARATED from other annointed now!!
by EndofMysteries ini almost missed this in my last post, but i just realized how important and must list it.
paragraph 14 from jan 15, 2010 wt last article entitled "jehovah's way of ruling vindicated".
"a few anointed members of "the israel of god" still remain, and as jesus' brothers, they continue to act as "ambassadors substituting for christ (2 cor 5:20) they have been appointed as a faithful and discreet slave class to care for and provide spiritual food for annointed ones and a growing crowd of christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever.

Maybe they introduced it 2/3 years ago as a subliminal message, so most JWs will say, 'of course, that makes sense, why didn't we see that before, the holy spirit didn't let us!'

selfish flock syndrome
by stillin ina study was recently conducted with sheep outfitted with transmitters.
a "predator" was circling the flock and the researchers found that the sheep tended to shove the weaker ones to the outer fringes and the stronger ones went to the center.
real nice.... boy, i could have used that while i was giving public talks!

The closer to the centre you get the smaller the circle becomes, in the centre its easier to have the wool pulled over your eyes.

My mum was contacted in the door to door, every question she had seemed to have an answer in the Bible so she followed, and still is today. I questioned her on 1914 recently, she said 'im not good with that sort of thing '!

what would be their first thought???
by Strawberryfieldsforever ini often wonder about the older "old school" jehovah's witnesses that are up in their 70's and they are losing all their friends they have known most of their lives.
they waited together all those years for the big "a" and it still isn't here.
they are still sitting at the meetings, raising their hands to answer on the same old material and waiting for any tidbit of new information about how close they are to that paradise earth.. i wonder what would be their first thought when the doubt begins to seep in and they have nobody to tell it too....... .

I think at that point they decide it's just a club, something to do and somewhere to go

Tell me if this is a stupid idea.
by DATA-DOG inyou know how you sometimes you are going about your day and then an idea hits you?
you say to yourself, " what a great idea!!".
then you think to yourself that maybe it isn't so great?

If you voice your concerns to an elder, it won't automatically mean a JC, he may just try to 'readjust' you, only if you were speaking to others in the cong could it become a JC matter, and at that point they will make out to everyone that you are in the wrong and they still have it right

My Introduction
by Left in the Cold ini have posted on here a little, and i thought i should probably introduce myself the best i can right now.
i stumbled upon this site and told my sister about it.
then, sometime later she started discussing things with me that's she has seen or read (she's in therapy, as well, which probably has made her kind of rethink things).

Hi Left in the Cold - welcome, I am new here too and found it very helpful already.
I'd agree with what's been said already, I 'faded' a little over a year ago and have had almost no contact from any JW, one visit and a couple of phone calls. I was an elder for almost 10 years, I'd have thought that some of them would have at least called to see how I was doing as I left at the time as having a mental breakdown (due to JWs)- it really does show who your real friends are.
Anyhow, I'm glad you are getting help, keep accepting it for as long as you need it, and I hope that your good days start to outweigh the not so good ones.
