How Are You Percieved By People???

I can be a very tolerant to people and understanding.I can be quite when you first meet me but after I get to know a person I open up a lot.

I don't put up with too much crap from people,I'm not a rug and if I have something to say I'll say it.I think after leaving the JW's..I put up less with control from people....I think sometimes I can be overly sensitive to it.

I'm a great listener and very tolerant to other beliefs and respect what other people are and believe.

The negitive about me.....when I get upset..I tend to go on and on ..more so when I don't think I'm being heard and trated fair...but I"m working on it.

Feild service and answering

i was wondering how you all felt about feild service.. i didn't like it all all,i would have minor anixety attacks and sweaty palms before i went door to door.

i would have a hard time taking a door,so one time,my loving "sister" left me standing at door by myself.i remeber being "happy".

i was very uncomfortable going to peoples door and trying to force religion on them,when they didn't want it.i only went out because it was imbedded in my mind that i had to go door to door to save peoples lives.i didn't want to have blood on my hands of the people i may have helped save with god's words.. with the answering,i almost passed out...lol..i used to be painfully shy.when i didn't answer enough,i would be judged as not being spiritually(sp)strong.the woman i was studing with would try to raise my hand up.the way i looked at it there was no accepting of who you were...had to be like the social butterflies to be accepted.now thats what i call love.

I am reaching my breaking point!

i just got back from the palms casino where i lost $60 dollars.

that had to be the worst game of poker i have ever had.

i got home and everything just started coming to me.

No matter how big or small,we are all human.If you need to cry,,,,cry.Its a good thing to release negitive feelings.I hope you find a job soon and when you meet someone be yourself,tell them you are shy and have a heard time talking to people.If they are a friend,that will be ok.I can be a shy person and I tell people I'm shy,they do most of the talking and they are ok with that.Take me as I am and if you don't like it..tooooo bad...(i love that toothy grin)

Like everyone said..try to stop gambling until you get a job.............easier said than done huh....I just wish I could reach out and give you a hug

Take it easy and hold on and keep trying,don't give up.

Did anyone really ever study?

i know we were taught to study all the wts stuff.

prepare for each meeting, prepare for service, (gotta know the articles) etc.

i mean with all the personal study to do, how could anyone have time for newspapers, novels etc.

I studied hard at times ,depending how spirtual I felt.Which wasn't too often.I remember reading the same paragrah over and over trying to understand its gibberish.Have any of you found,some of the info was just gibberish and made no sense at all? The reasoning from the scripture book,was like that for me..no wonder some people would look at me like I was fool in service. lol

Oh No, Not Again!

last night, around 8:30 (sat., 10/19), it appears the serial snipers struck again.. if you travel south on down route 95, past spotsylvania, where two shootings took place, you come to a small town called ashland, va. there is a pondersoa steak house right off the highway.

a 37 year old man was walking out with his female companion, and he was hit by a single bullet to the abdomen.

they closed off route 95 entirely.

What's The First Step To Leaving The "Trut...

Other things that helped me,to realize,not to read the NWT of the bible.Just little words and the way they word some of the scriptures,changes it.I read the bible with an opened mind and read it without WT lit.

I go to this other website and another person on the site brought up this subject of the pure languge.In the WT they reversed scriptures that the pure languge would be taught before the denunciation.zephaniah 3:8-9

In the WT they have 9 first ,than 8.

Got to watch them,they are sneaky

i absolutely detested the watchtower study.

never did an hour go by so slow.

there would the 20 or so paragraphs that had to read and answered, and i would watch the clock.

Got to be the Watchtower - did anyone else just feel a little relieved on the odd occasion that it was only 18 paragraphs instead of the 20 - 21.

YES..LOL

When I was studing the WT I would always look ahead to see how many paragraphs there were.

What are your thoughts on writing DA letters?

as most of you know, i have been inactive for about 2 1/2 yrs and completely out for about 7 months.

i am debating on wether or not to write a letter of da to the org or not.

in some ways i just want closure, and on the other hand i dont want to play by their rules.

What gets me,they tell us we have to tell JW's if we are DF or DA at the doors or where ever.All I think is whatever...I'm not a JW any more and I will never be again.None of you no longer control me anymore,so I'll say what I want,when I want.... Like I'm going to play by their rules....

I donot agree with any violence against people for their religious beleifs.I think people are angry with the abuse and how the victims are treated,in the JW organization.People who like violence are just looking for a reason to be violent.I understand the anger but being violent towards anyone is not the answer.Besides the people who are probley being attacked have never hurt a person before.
