In defense of the Borg....

i must say that i am troubled by those of you who have likened the jw's to the borg.

the collective is nothing like the organization.

the borg assimilate and improve themselves as a whole.

I see what you mean..but the org does have one collective thinking..if you don't think like everyone elese,than you are not part of the org.

What DO You Know Now That You Didn't Before?

since you drifted or fell away from the "truth", what do you now know that you never realized before?

was there anything that shocked or surprised you about the witness religion that you didn't know about til you left??

Everything shocked me..I always had doubts about the org,but I had lingering thoughts..well mabey ,just mabey it is the truth.I thought it was a good religion,regardless of how I felt about it.I am grateful for this site and other ones that helped me too see,I was right to doubt.

My feelings at first were angry! I was oOoOOOoooOO!!!! I couldn't believe they had me for 5 yrs!

I am having an extremly hard time keeping clothes on my son,and he is getting older.This has been stressing me out lately,because one day he is going to be a teen ,than a man........sighhhhh. I talk to his phycr.(sp ) and nothing seems to work.Do you have any ideas what to do? Do you have hard times with this?He is just about to be eight.

how do jehovah's witnesses rationalize that blatant statement of jesus' deity?

The way I "see" it,these words donot mean to make God's name "known",as to the way the JW's teach.

I always find it,hyprocritical on the JW's part,taking the name Jehovah,when a catholic monk "made" the name.Well,they agree with one teaching from"babylon the great"

The bible is confusing to me....it says they, are one,then it says, they are not.

Jesus is a God in heaven,but he was a man on earth so he was lower than God.I feel they are one,but two spiritual beings. LOL..as i'm typing this I see I am just going to come arcoss confused and babbling.

In the book of revelations,it seems to jump back and forth to Jesus and "Jehovah" doing the same thing.I can't recall the scriptures but these seem,to make them "one".

Sometimes I dunno about the bible..... babble babbled enough....

In the NWT,the last part is---->the word was "a god"..... opposed to..... the Word was God.

I was forced to have sex with a non-JW(at the time) and I was asked if I screamed enough and fought hard enough.I guess I didn't because "I" was told to repent. I did say "NO"..plenty of times.
