Jehovah's Witnesses... Who/What is the Holy Spirit?
by JW Answers inthe jehovah's witnesses claim that the holy spirit is none other than a force... however when we compare scripture with scripture, we begin to see that the holy spirit is a person.as the jehovah's witnesses dispute this, the question still remains..."who/what is the holy spirit?".
the holy spirit can :.
be grieved.

All you guys are awesome and i appreciate all including newbies that contribute to this site to make it what it is .
A place where JW`s who have doubts can come and voice their concerns and ask questions without being grilled for having doubts and asking questions by Elders.
And I`m positive many newbies are a result of sites like this where they can get satisfying answers to questions they raise .
Kudos to you all .

They are masters of manipulation ,sophistry , deception , and obfuscation ,I`ll grant them that .
however one day that will be their downfall and it will all come back to bite them in the bum.

by RubaDub ini really like my alexa.
a little creepy at first, but quite interesting.. i asked her if i should attend the assembly day on saturday.. she said "in your case, just go in the morning, walk around, see everyone, then at lunch walk to your car while talking on your cell phone.
then just leave.

I read "I Was A WatchTower Slave For Thirty Years" when I was relatively new as a convert, however i was conditioned then that we would be persecuted for the truths sake even by disgruntled members .
And that`s what I put it down too a disgruntled member .
At that time I believed what I wanted to believe ,I was disillusioned with where I thought my life was heading.
So his book made no impression upon me , sad to say.

Typical Antitypical and 1914
by Finally Left incould someone help me with this question please as it has been on my mind for sometime.
watchtower comes along and changes the typical anti typical beliefs and with a stroke of the pen eliminates years of books and teachings.
why does this not apply to 1914?

The Reasons for Cart Witnessing
by Simon inwhatever we think of it, you have to admit that it's quite "genius".. the door to door ministry as done in western developed countries where the jw quirky religion has probably reached their saturation level was a complete and utter waste of time in terms of the effort expended to recruit people.. at the same time, it was rarely something that anyone enjoyed which led to people being labelled as inactive, being pressured to doing more and maybe ultimately deciding jwism wasn't for them and leaving.. there was also the issue that many jws are actually pretty bad at knowing and articulating their beliefs so were pretty incapable of getting any meaningful message across.. they solved all this with the cart witnessing.
the real point isn't to recruit, it's to make life easier for jws.
now they can stand and chat with their friend, have a coffee, not talk to anyone or make eye contact and still act as a walking billboard for jw.org.

Cart preaching question
by asp59 ini just wonder how the elders see the cart witnessing they always want to show co when he comes to visit how congregation covers the territory.
but there must be a great problem with that now as pioneers prefer sitting drinking coffee beside a cart.

And what Jehovah`s Witnesses fail to realize is that Christendom has known and made the name Jehovah around the world since the 13th Century .
Raymundus Martinus a spanish Monk came up with that name translating the four Hebrew letters of the Tetragrammaton into latin as JHVH and added some vowels and presto ...Jehovah.
The name has been in Christian literature ever since the 13th Century and is engraved on numerous Churches throughout Christendom all over the world incl. Europe ,South America ,and even here in Australia.

Jesus Christ: Invented by the Romans to subvert the Messianic impulse in Judaism into Pacifism?
by TerryWalstrom inof course, there are many crackpot theories about all sorts of things.
we hear about them, look into them and laugh.however, once in a great while, somebody presents a cogent and feasible thesis backed up by scholarship and history.watch this video presentation and present your rebuttal (or agreement) for discussion.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uqg8w7ezuq&t=268s.

If Jesus was the son of God and had such an all important Salvation message to deliver to all mankind why did we only get second and third person accounts of his life and ministry ?
Which by the way when you analyse it all doesn`t really say that much on its own .
Why didn`t Jesus Christ himself write down any information that would be beneficial for all mankind ?
Moses was supposed to have written five books ,the greater Moses ,Jesus Christ ? wrote None.?
