Allah is not referring to a separate God than Jehovah. Allah is Arabic for the word God, just like Elohim is in Hebrew.

A Modest proposal to solve the 1914 problem
by r51785 inthroughout watchtower history dates have been a problem.
the usual solution for failed prophetic dates has been to kick the can down the road.
this needs to be done with 1914. the generation that will never pass away is now 110 years old and therefore is past its useful life span.

However, if 607 BCE is demonstrably wrong then only ONE line of evidence is needed. So, my challenge to all critics of the date 607 BCE is to provide one single line of evidence that disproves 607 BCE?
The 70 years were from 609-539, not 607-537. 539 is the 70th year it is not the 68th year lie that the WTS tried to sneak in there.

[5-1-68 WT - One example of encouragement derived from understanding the time feature concerning prophecy had to do with the time when Judah and Jerusalem lay desolate for seventy years. Due to the apostasy of the Jews they were held captive by Babylon, the world power of that time. Under the inspiration of God’s holy spirit the prophet Jeremiah had foretold this seventy-year period. Concerning Judah and Jerusalem, as well as other nearby nations, Jeremiah prophesied: “All this land must become a devastated place, an object of astonishment, and these nations will have to serve the king of Babylon seventy years.” (Jer. 25:11) But in addition to this desolation Jehovah’s word through Jeremiah foretold something else, a restoration would take place after the time period expired: “For this is what Jehovah has said, ‘In accord with the fulfilling of seventy years at Babylon I shall turn my attention to you people, and I will establish toward you my good word in bringing you back to this place.’”—Jer. 29:10. True to Jehovah’s Word, Babylonian captivity came. The land of Judah lay desolate. The years passed.
Eventually, sixty-eight years later,[then in 539 the 70th year, Jehovah's appointed time to call Babylon to account], the combined armies of the Medes and Persians captured overconfident Babylon, entering the city whose gates had been carelessly left open. Almost without a fight Babylon was overthrown.]Compare:
[11-15-98 WT – We know that Jehovah is the Great Timekeeper, and we have confidence that he never fails to fulfill his purposes at his appointed time.]
[Jeremiah 25:11 And all this land will be reduced to ruins and will become an object of horror, and THESE NATIONS will have to serve the king of Babylon for 70 years.”’ 12 ‘But when 70 years have been fulfilled, I will call to account the king of Babylon and that nation for their error,’ declares Jehovah,]
[8-1-81 WT – “The idol-worshiping Babylonians now were in line for God’s judgment to be executed upon them. That happened in 539 B.C.E. when Babylon was overthrown by the Medes and the Persians.”]

April 1, 1967 Watchtower p.197)
In fact, in this year 1967 we are actually living in the final part of that time! This can be compared to, not just the last day of a week, but, rather, the last part of that last day.
Just an April Fools' day joke...

Does time exist? When did it begin and when does it end?
Does space exist? Where is its beginning and where is its end?
Does wind exist? Can you see it or just the effects of it?GOD IS NOTHING! A VIEW POINT FROM Netflix Special #god #comedy #legaldrama (youtube.com)
In thinking about how amazing 'wind' is, how it in itself is not visible but if you look out and see the leaves and branches moving, you say its 'windy'. Or during a storm, strong gusty 'winds'. Hurricanes and tornados are measured by their 'wind' speeds. Wind is strong, powerful and even destructive, yet 'wind' is invisible. (At least to us.)
But what also blows my mind is as I sit here and write this on my laptop (This example applies to each of our cell phones as well, DTV antennas, FM/AM, satellites, etc.) there is a modem and router in a closet out of sight. My laptop is not connected to anything and yet think of all that can be seen and done on it due to the invisible force/signal that is coming from the router to the laptop and then out again from my laptop. How in the heck are these words that I type or that YouTube video above traveling through the air/wind? It is not visible or physical and yet it exists and is functioning right here around me.

The phrase "have something up your sleeve" is an idiom that means to have secret plans or ideas. It is informal and is used to describe someone who has a trick or advantage that they can use if and when it is required.

by NotFormer indid rutherford have any "prophetic" justification for 1919 as the date that jesus declared him (ahem, the wt organisation) the fds?

They have something up their sleeve. Because they keep mentioning the illogical instructions coming to the r&f, that means they already know what they plan to instruct and when they will have to give those instructions.
w13 11/15 - 17 Elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) The most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of “the Assyrian” is that of strengthening our faith in God and helping our brothers to do the same. (2) When “the Assyrian” attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that Jehovah will deliver us. (3) At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.
w22 February -15 As the end of this system of things draws near, we need to trust in Jehovah’s way of doing things as never before. Why? During the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical. Of course, Jehovah will not speak to us personally. He will likely provide direction through his appointed representatives. That will hardly be the time to second-guess the direction or to view it with skepticism, wondering, ‘Is this really coming from Jehovah, or are the responsible brothers acting on their own?’ How will you fare during that crucial time in human history? The answer might be indicated by how you view theocratic direction now. If you trust the direction we receive today and readily obey, you will likely do the same during the great tribulation.—Luke 16:10.
Above 2022 reiterated on Dec 13, 2023 daily text.Below to be studied on Dec 17,2023
w23 October - 18 We can learn to obey. Jesus “learned obedience,” not from being in ideal conditions, but “from the things he suffered.” (Heb. 5:8) Like Jesus, we often learn obedience under challenging circumstances. For example, during the early part of the COVID-19 pandemic when we were asked to stop meeting at our Kingdom Halls and to suspend our house-to-house ministry, did you struggle to obey? Yet, your obedience protected you, united you with fellow believers, and pleased Jehovah. All of us are now better prepared to obey any instructions we receive during the great tribulation. Our lives may depend on it!—Job 36:11.
19 We have learned that obedience brings countless blessings. But we choose to obey Jehovah primarily because we love him and we want to please him. (1 John 5:3) We can never repay Jehovah for all that he has done for us. (Ps. 116:12) But we can obey him and those who have authority over us. If we obey, we show that we are wise. And the wise make Jehovah’s heart rejoice.—Prov. 27:11.
