I'm lost what now ?
Seek family counseling or individual therapy. Mental health is important to figure out "what now". Look for any local mental health services clinic or private practice that can help you.
This may not look like a great thing, but maybe this is a great opportunity for you to venture on your own to look and find the help that you and your wife need instead of looking for magic solutions in the KH.

Elders harassing me
by raven inhi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

I echo the others who say to continue ignoring them. However, something to think about is that your mother may continue prolonging the issue. I'd suggest the with your mom you may need to set certain boundaries, maybe after you get DFed. You may (wonderfully) never hear from those elders again, but your mom will remain in your life. It's a different situation with her.
If the harassment continues, though, you may thing to start documenting it and threat with legal actions if they do not get your refusal to talk to them. They may just want to close their case, but some people (elders included) have no respect for boundaries.

Gracias, Hildebrando. A few decades ago I went to the KH in La Romana (I'm half Domincan).
Question, why do the WT in the DR are called the "Dominican Society of Jehovah's Witnesses"? Isn't "Jehovah" not supposed to care about countries?

Hello from the other side
by Theburstbubble inwell it's been 18 months since i left the witnesses.
my goodness what can i say?
well let's start from the beginning.... 1) i am happy, yes i am (i know im not meant to be as the jw's would like to believe).

No, no, NO!!! You are lying! Wait, ah, I know, Stan is seducing you with worldly things, of course. Soon, very soon you will find yourself so entangled in the webs of sin that your path to destruction will be so sad, that you will come back begging to get accepted (so you can get judged, bitter, regain you tunnel vision, believe that you have to live for nothing more than what you are told to do, you know, "paradise" and stuff).
Seriously now, I'm glad, and as a person with a few decades of experience outside the WT, please keep up with the same attitude and love for life if (when?) something bad happens. Remember, the WT loves to capitalize in other people's misery, so if there is an unfortunate event in your life or if life takes a turn for the worse, don't forget your post.
Many JWs who join the WT do so because they do suffer and bad things do happen. Life can be scary, but even so, it's way better without the Wt and their nonsense. Congratulations.

jws not only ones blind to what is in front of them
by blondie inhttp://www.cnn.com/2016/07/19/politics/melania-trump-michelle-obama-speech/index.html.
"i just don't see it," christie told cnn's jamie gangel in an interview tuesday, adding later, .
here's the key moment in trump’s speech:.

Let's see: Melania is a model from Rumania, English is not her first language, and she's married to Donald Trump. That right there tells me how far up her /\ss her head is. Leave alone having depth of though enough to write any speech. It was plagiarized, though I don't think that it was her idea. She's just a puppet.
I do believe that not only it was plagiarized, but that it was purposely plagiarized. Will her speech be in the media at all if it didn't create any controversy? Will her husband be anywhere without controversy? Of course, not. Trump's entire platform is about this kind of things, so why not Melania's speech?

All Day K.H. Maintenance Meeting !!!!
by Poztate inthe whole congregation was required to sign up for this all day program.what are they going to talk about for the full day.
maybe a one hour talk by an elder about "responsible toilet cleaning in this time of the end" with demos as how it can be accomplished.
only sisters seem to need to listen to that one.. maybe cutting grass to the proper height so we don't bring reproach on jehovah's name.

Never heard of such thing before. There were meetings related to the facilities, but one-day affairs? Never heard of it.

Why are anniversaries allowed but not birthdays?
by hyperpen inthe scripture quotes aside, i was always told that we don't celebrate birthdays because that is a celebration of the self, which has no place in jehovah's organization.
then why celebrate anniversaries?
anniversary celebrations are about the joining of two selves, isn't that twice as selfish?.

Indeed. Just because. No logic, no sense.

An Odd Request from Our Ex-JW Son
by TMS inmy wife and i, both out of the religion for nearly twenty years, live in the same border town as our 44 year old only son.
we have scant contact with our numerous jw relatives, although a handful of clever "double life" nieces and nephews socialize with our son.. we care for our six year old grandson weekdays while our single parent son makes a living.
we've been infinitely better grandparents than we were parents, primarily because of our exit from a high control cult, but also because of life experience.

A lot of young parents believe that exposing their children to everything there is (of course, age appropriate things and in a language that they can relate to) to let them decide what/who they are, but also because hiding certain things that people believe or do creates distrust in parents.
I wish I had a parent who took the time to explain things (even the JW stuff). At a tender age I was hearing about bestiality, fornication, horses being followed by death, you get the point, with no context and in a language I didn't understand.
I think "teaching" is a strong word for letting them know about the existence of the bible and its content. Being exposed to the reality of what the world contains is not a bad thing.

So Today Was My Wife's First Ever Birthday Party
by dubstepped inshe turned one today, and 36 earlier this week.
we planned a big party, big for two people that have never thrown a party before.
we rented a church fellowship hall because 1. it was nice and big and affordable and 2. it was kind of awesome to throw a party in a place we would have never ventured in our previous life.
