Insufferable Presumption

today, sunday, my son and i returned from a real estate investor meeting that we attend once a month with other active investors.

we discussed our latest projects, financing needs, advertising and so on.

we meet at 11:00 and don't usually get done before 2:00 pm and today was no different.

PTN PaintedToeNail - we were also assumed to be very unhappy and miserable since we left [saw this on a JW family members SMS to another family member !] - The very opposite is the reality ! Of course now that they have seen that our lives are so busy and full they are more miserable than ever !

That brochure is very condescending.

BTW we did NOT get the official visit and invite to "come back" ....to Jehovah [which is another presumption ..."why did you leave Jehovah? " ..........this is how it is stated !]

My stock answer now is: "Listen ..if you can logically explain the Overlapping Generations teaching from the scriptures ...I may rethink things ! " ........[like hell I will ] but they NEVER respond to that challenge - they cant and its so sad ! I too was there once.

they promised that the nwt revised would be available in so many languages by now, and they have failed miserably.. english stands alone.

as a result, they are in damage control mode.

I lied to the elders

i stopped attending meetings all together in january 2015. before that my attendance was irregular at best.

my husband followed suit a few months ago after months of research, agony, and indecision on his part.

from the very beginning i laid low and did not share with anyone what i found out about the witnesses because i did not want to be df'd.

ZAPPA-ESQUE

We are sharing accommodation in our home so it is absolute hell being in the face of family that have shunned us [we are not "officially" Df'ed / DA'ed] - all the time and passing each other in the passageway and not speaking etc-

We have discovered they have snooped on our computers looking for "evidence" and of course as I am the BiL it has become convenient for them to accuse me of being the perp. of my wife's downfall from the JW - even though my beloved is "further out" than I am -

So I identify strongly with you atacrossroads

Nevertheless the emotions at play will wreak havoc on your psyche' -

son of thunder is saying he has relatives that we're running bethel in egypt for years and they have been let go reassigned as special pioneers yet according to him this job no longer pays a wage.

he also states that 5000 total bethelites world wide are being let go.

One of the stresses you have when you run a blog / website [imho] is that you feel impelled to have to "feed" new info into it especially when you have a "following" -

I run a blog related to ESL /TEFL English teaching and its bloody exhausting trying to keep up with feeding in new information all the time - and then you still have to follow up with respondents.

So the danger of going after every little new "nugget' of info is there - Also trying to be "first" with the Breaking Story may prove a problem -
