  Double Standards of the Watchtower

  are you aware of any double standards promoted by the organization of jehovah's witnesses?

  here a a few i am aware of:.

  1. the wts equated joining the ymca with apostasy but felt free to join the un for 10 years (1991-2001).

  Does Anyone Elses PIMI Family Do A "Not Christmas" Day?

  i was told today that my jw family had a massive family gathering with presents exchanged, drinks and a big roast dinner.

  they even wore paper hats.. the day they chose for this family day?.

  26th december.. totally not christmas or anything - honest.. does anyone elses family do that?

  Latest Circuit Assembly Money Assault!

  probably not new to many of you but i'm gonna post it anyway!.

  i went to a circuit assembly last week at the fremont, ca assembly hall in fremont, ca to be with my wife so she could be there to 'witness' the baptism of a person she "studied" with about 2 decades ago!.

  at the main entry to the assembly hall there are 3 or 4 large double door entrances.

  LHG, I remember my mom saying that we won’t feed people that god will kill tomorrow.

  even worse, she said that JW children who are molested will have the memory of this trauma wiped out after Armageddon, and worldly kids will be killed anyway.

  Don Adams has passed away

  i received a call from a friend in new york city that don adams passed away late last evening (30 dec 2019).

  many of you bethelites know him and he was the president of the society for a number of years after the gb got out of the corporate structure business.

  from what i understand, he was generally liked by many there.. some in my family knew him.

  Dio, I agree, I really don’t want Muslims here unless they want to convert. I know personally, 3, and they became Christians. They mean no harm to anyone. It’s hard to trust this ‘religion of peace’. You can’t tell what is in their heart, and who can tell if their minds can be changed by some radical.

  Ima fiscal conservative, but a social liberal. IMO, the real threat to the US isn’t the illegals coming from the southern border, but the Muslims coming in in droves, not assimilating, expecting us to accept Sharia law. If they want Sharia, go back to the Middle East and leave us alone.

  what a nice, no pressure, service, singing the old songs we all know.

  I just got home from attending a lovely Christmas Eve service with my daughter and her family. What a nice, no pressure, service, singing the old songs we all know. Silent Night, etc. everyone came dressed as they were, women in jeans, ( my daughter had ripped ones on ) . Lit candles at the end. This is how church should be. This was a community Christian church.
