The part where they tell children to keep things confidential, so as not to ‘embarrass’ a family member is just plain creepy. Gives a free pass to pedo’s.

You can [not] trust the Brothers, wt study this week
by waton infor the lucid lurkers: # 37. the article's examples really show, that among the 'name people' only 50 % of rank and file, and none of the leaders can be trusted all the time.
but, shut up and put up.. eli and hannah, eli's sons committed gross sins, raping/ seducing woman visitors to the temple, for years, yet naive worshippers are to trust their brothers, even with their children ?
inaction by wt approved?

How many preaching hours are real
by Hellothere inhow much of the preaching hours in yearly report you think are real?
they always have high numbers preaching hours.
probably increase every decade.

Yes, many fake hours, and don’t forget the PIMO’s who cheat. At the end of my “preaching”, I couldn’t stomach more than 1 hour a month, and I used that hour dropping magazines in laundromats. I was so depressed, I did not want to convert anyone, why should they be miserable like me?

I love Christmas! I couldn’t wait to celebrate when I left. I’m married to a Polish Catholic guy, and we have our traditions. Now that I’m retired, I have more time to bake. It was very important to me to make traditions for our family, since I didn’t grow up with any. We always let our daughter open 1 gift on Christmas Eve, it was usually pajamas. We set up a tree, have gifts, watch Christmas movies, and have a big feast on Christmas Day with family. While the kids are little, we remember to have a small cake and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Jesus is the Reason for the Season! Take that, Watchtower! I love Christmas!

List of Things We Were NOT Allowed To Do as JW's
by Sea Breeze inhere's my list of jw no-no's as i recall: .
1. no giving or accepting valentine candy for students.
2. no going to home coming football games.

I like Punky’s list! But Seabreeze’s is spot on, too. A teacher wrote a note in my report card in first grade, recommending that I join the Girl Scouts. She said it would help me to socialize and be part of the other girls. My parents, of course, mocked her suggestion and ignored it. 😢

Newtons prediction for end of the world
by dothemath inmaybe this man (sir isaac newton), has more credibility than fred franz in picking a date for armageddon ?.
interestingly, newton(brilliant mathematician, everyone must know him) was very interested in the bible and revelation .. .
what newton tried to do was determine a particular timescale for the apocalypse.

Did Sir Isaac Newton consult with Jehovah, and the Governing Body? If he didn’t, that’s just apostate lies.
