  JW internal culture is destroying everything that makes a Jehovah’s Witness

  the entire internal religious culture of the watchtower organization is harmful for its current members.

  the culture seems to traverse ethnic and national barriers.

  however, the worst of each culture all around the world appears to have a symbiotic relationship with the religion in an attempt to make the org fanciful in every nation and locality.

  They save on gas with letter writing, but spend it on stamps! Those letters are so unwelcoming to strangers. The phone calls didn’t work too well, either. My mom tried calling, she said a lady asked how she got her number. Well, she got a list of numbers from an elder, but she couldn’t tell the lady that. So she said she got her number from the internet. The woman said, “I think you’re full of crap.” And hung up. 😏

  this information is supposed to be in the upcoming march wt.

  (i don’t go on jw dot org).

  it would sound like they are hinting at a change in thinking.. in my opinion, any such change would be yet another slap in the face to faithful pimis along with those other recent changes.. there are so many heartfelt responses on that thread and a lot of justified anger.. don’t know what to say except that i’m so glad i never listened to the religion all those years ago.

  JW's home schooling over-representing

  speaking to an old elder friend recently about his decision to home school his high school aged kids.. he claims that here in australia, about 30% of the students that log into online classrooms are jw's.

  the others are disabled kids - who cant physically attend class and the rest are long distance students.. another generation of under-educated jw kids on the way..

  there are no real numbers for jws but they are a relatively small group.

  compared to the number of catholics at least.. the australian commission gathered more than 5000 cases with over 1000 perpetrators that went completely unreported for the jws.

  likewise they did the same for catholics and collected just under 4800 cases with 1880 perpetrators.

  American Primeval and the Mormons

  just finished season 1 on netflix.. holy crap, i had no idea of the history of the mormons!.

  i always thought they were like the jws, or the quakers, but they were full on fascists committing massacres.. i'm sure they are hating having more people be aware of their past, but i gotta say, it is more event-filled than the jw history..

  Simon, you are so right about Mormon history! Last Christmas someone gave me a book entitled, Under The Banner Of Heaven. It was a history of the Mormon church, from its inception. Wow, so much violence! Also, Joseph Smith was such a sexual deviant. He just married any young girl he wanted to have sex with, I think some were only 12. He had, if I remember correctly, 37 wives. In addition, he was a frequent visitor of the local brothel. Which makes me wonder how he managed all of this, especially since Viagra was not available back then.

  I was most concerned about my elderly PIMI mom. She was quite elderly, and if these bozos instructed the r & f to sell all their possessions, homes, etc. and give all the cash to the WT headquarters, she would have done it. Thankfully, she is now gone. I miss her, though. The last JW in my immediate family. There are a few here and there, but I really don’t see them. So, my family is normal again.
