  i have a few jw relatives who are true believers.

  by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.

  all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.

  but gee-hovah didn't like it and my parents wanted me to sling watchtowers and awakes.

  it's a good thing i'm in a profession that i can work and pay the bill's and finally left the "trooth "..

  I lost a normal childhood, and an opportunity to go to college. I’m a frustrated teacher. I also lost opportunities when young to sexually experiment much more than I did. Too much guilt.

  every year we went out and made this date a real party.

  it was a celebration that included a night out, a stay in a hotel , eating, drinking and dancing to live music!.

  this new lawsuit continues to compound undeniable evidence that jehovah’s witnesses is keener in monopolizing "the truth" or making "kingdom assets" an exclusive right, so that they can interests of their "king, jesus christ".

  and besides giving money to other countries, stop giving money to the arts and entertainment..... give money to help taxpayers struggling with debt .

  A positive about been a former JW

  i decided on christmas day to wash the house and do some yard work.

  i had a concerned neighbour come out and bring me some of their christmas food.

  although i appreciated the food and wished her a merry christmas, the neighbour was concerned as to why i wasn’t inside enjoying christmas.

  I have such sad memories growing up, knowing all the kids I knew were getting gifts and having fun family time, while for me it was a sad, dreary day. I used to have a fantasy that I would wake up to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, with gifts, and my parents saying , “Surprise! We decided to quit being witnesses! Merry Christmas!” That never happened. I vowed to myself that I would NEVER bring a child into the world to feel that way. And I didn’t. The joy of seeing my daughters happy face on Christmas morning is indescribable, and now it carries on with my grandchildren. Btw, I bought an impulse purchase at Costco, which turned out to be the highlight of his day. A little hovering toy. He LOVED it. He went to a birthday party last week, and the birthday boy got this. My grandson was so jealous, he wanted one so bad. His parents said maybe for his birthday. There it was, from Grammy and grandpa. 😀
