I always thought it was odd when i would go out in field service and people would come to the door and say to me "yeah i thought the world wa going to end in 1975 that's what you jeehoveas said".Since i was like 2 in 1975 i would ask my dad what was that all about and he would go into the standard company reply,"Oh we never said the world was going to end the society just said man would have been on this earth for 6k years"...as a child i brought it hook line and sinker i even used it when i would get a householder that would bring it up...so many lies.

The heartless Witness and his treatment of his two brothers at their aunt's wake!
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy cousin by marriage had a wake for his mom last night.
he's a jehovah's witness and so are his cousins ( 3 brothers ) .
two of the brothers are disfellowshipped and the oldest brother serves as a ministerial servant.. i walk in the funeral home and see one of the disfellowshipped brothers sitting in the last row of seats.

I don't really blame the GB for shunning.I was a born in and even as a child i found it difficult to understand how men could tell me not to speak to my family members.So every chance i got i spoke to them,even though my parents would blow there tops.A lot of people in the org look at following the rules that the Gb hand down about shunning as a badge of honor, all they have to do is use a little compassion and free will.Surely if i hade this as a mere child grown adults should have it too.

I Got disfellowshiped..wana die!

chi chi first of all don't blame yourself these people that are our relatives are sick there the ones with the problems.I mean really how can you shun someone you love?My cousin commited suicide a few months ago and since he had left the wt years ago my uncle and aunt had his body cremated,and disposed of without telling anyone,even a family pet that dies gets some sort of service,and if we were to use there crazy logic that the wt puts out once a man dies his sins are paid he's square with the house, but in the crazy world of the jws they still have to kick someone when there downor dead.This cult is unfeeling and devoid of any common sense,to tell family members to shun there own to me is overstepping there bounds.I was never dfed but i was reproved for dating a worldly girl when i was 17.My father an elder turned me in to the boe and the co.Even at that age seeing these elders falling over there selfs to get me to a jc was sickening.Think about it like this even if you get reinstated they will still talk behind your back about what you got dfed for...there's no winning with these people if that guy you are dating is a good man then marry him and start a family with him.Don't introduce him into this cult just to appease the very people that kick you to the curb when you need them the most.I don't pray anymore but i'm hoping you realize that this pain will pass in time.

from where i sit, just outside of boston, it looks like up to 2 feet of snow from friday to saturday with high winds that will make travel very difficult if not impossible.. .
