  Faith V Works.....my 2 cents..

  so what you guys are saying is that i can beat & rape my wife, bash my children, break the law, be a violent drunk, and as long as i have faith that jesus christ was the messiah and have faith in jehovah god, i can still be declared righteous????.

  read carefully james 2:14-24. or don't you understand it or don't believe it?.

  abraham and rahab were both declared righteous because of their works because they both had faith.. "faith accompanied by works"

  I think the fundamental issue is settled. It's just the definition of "faith" and "works" that will never be settled.

  Most Hypocritical Act Witnessed As A JW

  what was the most hypocritical act you personally witnessed during your incarceration as a jw?.

  hypocritical acts you witnessed being performed by those claiming to be of the anointed are most especially welcome to be posted.. the person who posts the most hypocritical act will receive the complete box set of the bethel family sing the kingdom melodies vols 1 - 10 complete as first prize.. the runner up will receive two box sets.. i'll start off.. the most hypocritical thing i ever witnessed was the (married) co who ran off with the (single) special pioneer immediately after giving a talk at the district convention on "jehovahs gift of marriage".. sister special had the suitcases packed and the motor running out in the parking lot (located directly behind the platform) as co spiritual giant wrapped up his talk.

  he finishes the talk then leaves the platform for the getaway car to a tumultuos round of applause from the massive crowd.. both last sighted somewhere slightly up ahead of a fading into the distance cloud of dust.. goo

  The most hypocritical act has to be this Greek or Italian guy (I won't call him a brother) I saw at an assembly a while back. Seen the guy all clean cut, in goodstanding, the centre of attention (all seen them before).

  Fast forward 6 months. I accept this job as a PCB Assembler, and meet the guy again there. The guy swears worse than I did b4 a found the "truth". He also works something like 40+ hours a week. Too tired to go out in field service on Saturdays and only does 2-3 hours every Sunday to keep up with the publisher average.

  Fast Forward to 2 weeks ago (i quit the job a long time ago). I was walking to 1pm field service (Going past my old work) and I hear this "Boom, Boom, Boom" coming up the road. Look up to see the guy driving a lowered, fully decked out VS Commodore with the music up as well as the bass. Guy sees me, the witness going to field service, and gives me the most arrogant look say "Who the f*ck do you think you are? You're nothing but dirt".

  Moral of the (true) story is....the brother (or sister) who are like this guy tend to be the biggest hypocrites!

  why don't they belive in military or government?.

  Sunday (either morning or arfo), Tuesday or Wednesday, Bookstudy is usually Thursday nite. All this depends on the congregation. Different cong different times.

  When Jehovah God says so. Bugger what everyone else says.

  JW's aren't into idol worship like Catholics are.

  One's thought up by imperfect men with no sex or social life.

  I was having a "go" at the "faith only" crowd....

  "And therein lies the point of the whole faith vs. works debate really. In my opinion ppl of genuine faith in a loving God will do loving things to other ppl. Works follow faith and vice versa."

  I agree wholeheartly with the 1st point. The 2nd point is half right. You gotta have faith first then the works will follow, not that "and vice versa".

  can any of you remember where about's the scripture is that says that there's 2 types of christians (it destroys the wt belief that there was only anointed in the 1st century ad).

  i know its somewhere in one of paul's letters.

  I call you smart. God will intervene when he thinks it's time. It's not for human's to decide when it's time.

  I'm glad Freddie Franz gave the witnesses a hammering about 75. (Even though he sorta started it.) The R&F were the one's that flogged it. The Org when along with it cos of all the enthusiasm. That's my opinion of it all.

  Your mum's comment's are so typical of wanker JW's out there.
