JEHOVAH HAS NO ORGANIZATION

the resident jws who post here and of course the jws around the world all feel that god has an organization and that they are it.

further, they ask 'where else would you go' if you talk about leaving their organizaton.

the jws talk about the organization in such terms as "it's the truth," or "wait on the organization," or "don't run ahead of the organization" as though god's divine name were really organization.. here is something that jws, and maybe some ex-jws need to understand: god (whether you call him jehovah, yahweh, jesus, buddah, allah, or any other fine name does not have any organization in heaven or on earth.

...that the watchtower bible & tract society really is jehovah god's earthly organisation.... wouldn't that make you all "vessels made fit for destruction" (romans 9:22 - 24) by being opposers of jehovah god and his true organisation?.

Just suppose it's possible that apostates are not God-haters or opposers, deserving of destruction simply because they do not follow the direction of the WTB&T Society.

I don't personally believe that Jehovah's Witnesses are the only ones saved BTW....I believe that the Bible is God's word and anyone following it to the best of their ability will be saved.

I've just read a few old posts and a few postings have just pushed me over the edge.....

Here is something that JWs, and maybe some ex-JWs need to understand: God (whether you call him Jehovah, Yahweh, Jesus, Buddah, Allah, or any other fine name DOES NOT have any Organization in heaven or on earth. He never has and never will.

Who gave you the authority to decide if God has an organisation or not?

This post was inspired by what I saw the Apostle AK write about organization. It made me so ill reading that crap

Paranormal...

following on from the demon post....has anyone here seen anything paranormal (eg out of the ordinary)??

(ufo's, ghosts, etc).

here's the only thing i've seen that i consider weird.

Is Jesus My Mediator Or Not?

since i left the jw's in '72, i was somewhat taken aback to learn that witnesses now teach that jesus is only the mediator for the 144,000.. is this right?

also, when i was a jw, we were taught to always conclude our prayers by asking them in jesus' name, or they would not be answered, is this still the belief?.

just to clarify, we were taught that by praying in this manner, we were actually asking jesus to intercede with jehovah on our behalf, so surely he would then be a mediator to anyone praying in his name, not just the 144,000, has this changed too?.

True! Actually i've heard prayers where it was said after the first line. I was taught it should go at the end.

The current teaching at the moment is that the mediator part and High priest part are separate.

This is a gray area with JW and answers differ.

that's the title of another poxy thread on witnesses online that has me scratching my head in disbelief that anyone could be so deluded.. i would love to be able to post a reply in the thread saying something like: "well, i guess none of you have any unbelieving relatives, then?"..

The oldest of six kids, Braxton grew up in the small town of Severn, Maryland, where, she says, her father was a minister in search of a religion: "We went through everything, from being Jehovah's Witnesses to being United Methodists," she recalls.For one long stretch during her formative grade school years, the family belonged to what she describes as the "very strict" Apostolic Church. As a member, says Braxton, she had to wear long dresses, hats and other modest garb, something that made her stand out, uncomfortably, among her schoolmates. Also setting her apart was the fact that she wasn't allowed to listen to the type of secular music that she now specializes in. But as she neared the end of high school, her father loosened up the rules--and Braxton bought her first pair of pants. "They were Levi's," she says. "I'll never forget. Straight-legged Levi's.From there I got to wear nail polish--like a very pale pink." She even threw a pool party senior year--although the only music she was permitted to play was gospel.
Today Braxton, with her frankly sexual (though never explicit) songs, seems to be making up for lost time. The first single released from Secrets, You're Makin Me High, deals with masturbation. Another song bears the blunt title Find Me a Man. Her parents, she says, are proud of her music, and her father, in church, prays for her albums to climb the charts. Three of her sisters, Towanda, Trina and Tamar, have their own vocal group, the Braxtons (Toni was once a member but went solo). Braxton, however, isn't completely fulfilled. Although she is "dating," she says she is still looking for "that special someone." She says, "What good is having all this success if you don't have someone to share it with?" It's a plaintive query, but one gets the feeling that Braxton will be O.K. She's wearing the pants now.
