six months ago, on december 25th 2001 i discovered the existance of an xjw community and that i was not alone in this universe.

What an Amazing post!!!

Six months ago, on December 25th 2001 I discovered the existance of an XJW community and that I was not alone in this universe.

Me too, in December!!

I began to experience life for the first time. I had been alive for 29 and a half years then but never experienced the love, joy or peace that life has to offer.

Me toooo!

Six months ago today, I truly left the JW cult. Its been a rocky up and down journey I cant lie but thanks to this community and others I have tasted life for the first time and it is good.

Meeee toooooo!

Didn't realize we had a similar story flower, no wonder I automatically felt a bond of friendship with you.[ ;) ]

Wishing the best to all those who live and suffer with JW spouses and families.

This touched my heart.

(i moved out and some of my mail still goes there even though i put in a change of address form.

) we had gotten in a fight the night before.

Everything was done so orderly, calmly, smoothly
that the city police couldn't believe their eyes. In just over 12 minutes we
evacuated 8600 people. The police said it was the quickest, most orderly,
calmest emptying of the premises they had EVER seen. Certainly a good
witness, wasn't it?
You could actually feel a calm fall over the crowd, as if Jehovah's hand
were protecting us. No one panicked, no one walked quickly. And we waited
patiently outside in the scorching sun until they told us we could go back
inside.

This is great information. I have been looking for such information. Can you guys tell me where I can get more info. so that I can get this clear in my head? I need scriptures, especially ones I can show my husband from NWT.

Right now the 2 things I need to show him are :

1. The JWs do not go "house to house" as described in the bible.

2. Early Christians were not any kind of "organization" as the WT claims.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have to be convincing with their own bible.

For some reason I figured you were much older... Maybe it's because you said once you were around in 1975 when that whole fiasco happened and you left the borg then studied law ( It takes quite a few years to study law). Sooo sorry..
