  Silent Lambs/Bill Bowen..Who rejoices now?

  having read the exchanges between rev, bill bowen, and others involved in the silent lambs website, i honestly feel sickened.

  i remember when i first started to hear rumblings that "something big" was going down regarding the society's handling of child abuse.

  i was overjoyed because i had first-hand knowledge of several atrocities in this regard and was hoping against all odds that a major upset would force them to change their policies.

  i just had a visit from my brother-in-law, an elder at bethel.

  i mentioned to him about Barbara Anderson and her role at bethel, etc.

  his response was predictable.

  he simply said, "a sister would NEVER have the responsibility and position she claims to have had."

  so with a simple sentence, consisting not even a dozen-and-a-half words he brushed it ALL aside.

  making everything moot.

  i said, "you know someone mentioned that that is what the society would do, even before they did it. it would be their way of not even having to address anything she has to say." and that is what they did hook-line-and-sinker. kinda' like putting hooks in their jaws.

  i was thinking about this the other day, and really things just don't make sense to me since leaving the borg.

  being jw's we are told to fear the demons, they are there just to get us away from god.

  don't buy from yard sales, don't watch demonized movies, don't look at porn because demons love that.

  Look at Job 42:12 -tell me how is that a blessing? He lost 10 children. 20 kids total? did Job do anything else?

  Apparently what we see as a disparity, God/Jehovah sees as an "inconvienence" that only he and/or his designee (Jesus) can rectify

  clearly shows that the word, "gods" is used; therefore, even THE GOD acknowledges this term or station, etc. JDubs, however will acknowledge that Jehovah is the ONLY God that deserves WORSHIP.

  i don't remember the WTB&TS ever saying that God's Holy Spirit was "inactive", active -yes Also Isa. 52:10 says God has an "arm" -now do you really beive God has an "arm?" A nthropomorphism is VERY common in the bible. it doesn't mean that God ACTUALLY has arms/legs/snow white hair/eyes/mouth/etc. God speaks to us in the bible of a realm we could NEVER hope to imagine or understand in a nthropomorphic terms; ones we CAN hope to understand.

  this is taking longer than i expected, so i'll leave off here, not to mention the arguements presented require much more research (outside the WTB&TS lit.)

  so then, it appears that you adobt the trinity, simply because the WTB&TS doesn't. that's weak. hate 'em if you want, but don't accept pagan beliefs just to take an opposing stand.
