they would be unemployable in the real world....and yes, crisis of conscience by Raymond Franz is definitely recommended for anyone seeking an honest insight into the shambles that is the gb.....

if the wbts is just another business?
then what do the gb get out of all this?.
tim cook (ceo apple) makes around 378 million a year.. donald trump makes around 60 million a year.. i understand the wbts may have vast property holdings, stocks, bonds, and revenue from donations.. but i can't grasp the incentive for the gb to make this stuff up.

i came across this you tube video.
most of us are aware of the subject anyway but i thought it could be of interest to anybody talking with a jw about the date of the destruction of jerusalem.
on page 55 of the 'jeremiah' book, the writers clearly try and associate dr mazar with the 607 date by careful use of the words, its skilfully crafted to make the reader think dr mazar agrees with the 607 date.
when I saw the video I was shocked at how the wt take statements and twist them....no doubt they have done this many times before....shame on them..
there have been many speculations regarding the upcoming annual meeting.
among them, that the society will rid themselves of 1914 and the literal interpretation of 144,000. several have commented on why this doesn't make sense or is unnecessary, and i agree with their positions.
there is no reason to get rid of 1914...it is a tie that binds the modern to the past.
this emphasis on blind obedience and unswerving loyalty to the gb/fds worries me as it seems a draconian measure to silence and remove any who may have sincere doubts about the authenticity of new light.......control ...control....almost like the Nazi regime many years ago..
yeah witness's seem to me to be more like robots than humans, just watch them when your around them everything is programed that they say, its weird the only time i personaly ever seen anything closely like it were the "pligs" in hilldale utah and saint george utah.
you can't get a stright answer from them with out it being scripted from their magazines.
i feel sorry for them i really do, i was raised a witness untill the past fifteen years or so, the term borg fits well, if you go to one of their conventions it is a lot like going to an amway convention they mostly act like they are in a drunken bliss.
they operate much like Amway....pyramid spirituality....twice weekly meetings etc etc keep them motivated and on the Amway treadwheel....sad waste of potentially useful human beings.......
this is the kind of crap that re establishes my ego on a weekly basis....which one of the governing body punks said this???
?.
"Jehovah's organization.".......just love it....the arrogance of these people ...
in the watchtower december 15th 2013.. .
why did the artist only include seven apostles at the last supper?
does he know the truth that 12 were there, (luke 22:17-23) so he didn't want to 'hang' himself by drawing 12 drinking the wine?
clearly they are liars and therefore true apostates.....twisting scriptures ...
this file is being passed around by jehovah's witnesses concerning adjustments in understanding the 2013/7/15/watchtower.
the first draft they prepared had a typing error, and nevada sent the draft back to the jws for correction.
they corrected the typing error and sent it back to nevada.
their picking and choosing what is and what is not truth makes me sick...how on earth is anyone expected to make sense of any of the cultish gobbledegook that pours forth from those 8 loonies of the gb...?...they have reduced the bible to a flavour of the week doctrine....I doubt they will commit anything in writing soon as they change tack so often.....do they ever think about what they print?...do they believe that their rantings and ravings about apostasy etc etc can shut down their own members from thinking as rational beings?...I shudder to think what major announcement they may (or may not be?!) be planning to issue at the AGM this year........the lemming complex....!
attention all uk congregations: .
the december 15th 2013 study edition contains a study article which will be used to 'prime' the sheep for fleecing in 2014 - in order to finance the new uk branch complex.. for those who are prepared to speak up on behalf of their hard pressed brothers and sisters, raise your hand and ask one relevant question before the elders' probable resolution/s - either to send a chunk of your congregation's bank balance to mill hill, or for each publisher to 'pledge' as much as they can;.
"can the body of elders explain to the congregation why the new branch isn't being self- financed by the miions gained from the sale of all the london properties?
very true that certain ones with expectations of promotion ensure that others know of their financial giving to the congregation....in my old cong. a certain brother who received 1.2 million pounds in compensation for a car accident 20 years ago has paid towards new microphones etc etc and yet hypocritically flaunts his wealth by driving top of the range Range Rover with personal number plate and also tells poorer brothers he has to get rid of 25,000 pounds to avoid taxes.....He used to tell certain ones that he deserves to be an Elder.........I used to say to myself that the moment he was appointed /announced as an elder would be the moment I'd walk out of the meeting for my last time....thankfully I left over a year ago before this happened....
some of the rhetoric in recent wt magazines got me thinking, it would be useful to have a somewhat comprehensive list of quotes showing the wtbts's incessasant control-freakery and their irrational--and apparently growing--paranoia.
i was thinking it would be good to have a variety of both longer and shorter, older as well as more recent quotes that prove the pattern and history of their manipulative mantra of: don't question.
just obey!.
always remember when Jesus was discussing himself with others and he asked them...."Who do you say I am?"..this is something the WT could never do ...it never asks for its credentials..it just tells others what to believe/think....without question...

just some personal rambling:.
when I used to go to meetings I rarely answered because I could see more than one point of view and more than one correct (!) answer to questions raised......and I too smiled as publishers gave pat answers -sincere...of course(!)....but lacking any genuine heartfelt conviction of what they were saying at times....what always struck me was how nothing was ever discussed or reasoned out...just repeated either from wt publications or prepared answers.....where was the passion that comes from real belief and conviction..?....it all made for a very very dull whitewashed meeting experience.....and spiritually flat..
