  how many of us have had to deal with a version of that retort?!

  it's hurtful and i suspect - for some - that's partly because of the nagging feeling that our families may have a point.. but do they?.

  i was 15 when i got baptised, is it reasonable that as the 50 year old man i'll be on my next birthday i continue to be held to a decision i made as a schoolboy?.

  when i was studying some 30 years ago the matter of disfellowshipping/shunning/apostacy never came up. it was a hidden clause in an unfair contract......and should be set aside as with any unfair contract.....

  brilliantly candid and honest book. a gentle man writing from his own truthful perspective.it has so many authenticated references to watchtower material inc letters etc... I found it a real revelation. just wished I had read it earlier in my jw captive years.

  What's with all the 'Imminent' nonsense?

  could it be that the proximity of 2014 is at the heart of it?.

  i have no contact with jw's - except on this board - but my wife does at times with her family.

  imminent is the cry of the sky for the jw's it seems.. i recall the years leading up to 1975 with a lot of that sort of thing.

  how can i tell without even looking at the schedule that it is time for the review?

  my wife decides she is not going to the meeting.

  she told me earlier this week we had an invitation for dinner/drinks with one of our neighbors down the street.

  last time I was at the review question time I was shocked at how every answer given was word for word cribbed from the official/unofficial answer sheet.....even the study conductor had a look of perplexment....so much for meaningful wholehearted sincere answers....!

  A "New" Revelation Grand Climax at Hand book might be released for Book/Bible Study?

  a few elders i know said they hoped the wts would release a "new" revelation book to be studied during 2014. they said the jws need to be spiritually encourage at the "closeness" of the end and studying a "new" revelation book for 2014 might help shape up the flock of inactive, faders, disfellowship/disassociated jws to coming back.

  after learning ttatt attending meetings is real pain for me but have no option other then participate.

  since many jw use mobile devices during meetings i use them too.

  but instead of wt or bible study book i read apostate books like raymond franz books ,captive of concept etc.it helps a lot to survive 2 hours of boredom.

  how can anyone say that Raymond Franz book is apostate?....he was df just for having a meal with a df person. I consider his book to be more truthful and honest than the dodgy food from the gb.... !
