  the independent - united kingdom; may 26, 2001. by brian farmer.

  a couple originally approved by a council as adoptive parents have been refused permission by social workers to adopt a child, because they are jehovah's witnesses.

  it has occurred to me recently, that a lot of the behavior of jws in good standing is done to trick themselves and others into thinking they're normal.

  when in fact, they're not.. example:.

  when a young jw man goes to a 'gathering' he will drink one beer loudly and proclaim how good cold beer is!

  The wts has nothing to do with how I view you. It's you! Your behavior. Don't self righteously try to find motivation that just isnt there.
  Paranoid personality that you are,of course you will find a threat wherever you want. Think what you want.
  A stop can simply be losing posting privileges,sorry if you want it to be more lol. A stop can be a mass ignore,you're overblown sense of importance always caused you to exaggerate evrything you read. lol

  I'm going to be a father!

  i've been a sorry excuse of a poster lately, so i'm not really in tune with what's going on with the board, but i still know enough people here to make an announcement: foxy, my fiancee, is pregnant!.

  so it happened a couple of years before we were planning it, before we could even get married, before i've finished my postgraduate degree -- but so what?

  we're financially sturdy enough to pull it off, i'll be able to complete the degree and get a good job, and no amount of financial anxiety seems to offset the excitement i feel to be having a child.

  How utterly bastardly of you YK! Now you want to hold simon responsible for YOUR behavior.

  You CHOSE to come here. It was done voluntarily!
  And now because you FINALLY are presented with consequences to your long time nasty and now libelous behavior,you react by threatening to hold EVERYOne but yourself culpable.
  I have watched your despicable behavior far too long. I wish you never came here. I disagree with Kis,you started this publicly and it most certainly deserved a public resolution.

  You have never contributed postively anywhere you've been. You spew nothing but venom and hatred. And YOU expect better treatment than you have metted out over the years? Pathetic and sad.

  I have no power and control here. But my fervrent wishes are for your departure from here. I wish I could slap your face. I have rarely met someone I actually despise.   Hi zev,
  I don't bother to tell folks I meet Im an ex-jdub. It's a part of my past and holds no relevance to my life now. If asked specifically tho,I have no problem relating about it.

  Being raised a jw had more negatives then postives.
  I had to work very hard on the social,emotional,psychological,and academic deficits such a lifestyle produced. Hard work and some sacrifice but worth more than anything in this world.Regards,tina

  my last year in the BORG

  although this story is several years old, i wanted to share it here.. after i was df'd, in 1996, under questionable and selective circumstances, i really tried to get back in the swing of things in order to be reinstated.

  i actually travelled from nyc, where i was staying with family for a short time, back to my cong.

  in new jersey, often getting a hotel room solely for the purpose of attending the sunday meeting.. my p.o., tho, basically cringed each time i showed up(guilt, i guess).

  at the moment there is a great diversity of opinion as to how anti-social behaviour should be handled.
