i remember my baptism at the ripe old age of 13 at an assembly with the jw's.. i did it to shut everyone up and to please my parents.. after i ran away from the wtbts and home....it is like i went on a crusade of baptisms.. i was baptized as a mormon.....and then as a born again christian.......(prawn again christian).
i think that eventually i gave up through being water logged...... but i am curious to know if any others around here have been so.....errr.....dumb?????.

Sometimes ideas come at us so fast and hard we feel overwhelmed.....that in conjunction with cognitive dissonance feels like we may be drowning and cant get air......
It's happened to many here. You're not alone. Please continue to share any thoughts with us. Also,during such a trying transitional time,I would suggest a short regimen of anti-depressants. You dont have to stay on them forever. They have pulled folks thru some very low periods. With the emotional burden relieved it will be a lot easier to think things thru.......with love,Tina
for decades now, those words have appeared atop one of the watchtower societys buildings in new york city.. that exhortation may never have been more needed by jehovahs people themselves than it is today.
recent posts have asked good questions regarding what can or will sustain individual jehovahs witnesses who do truly love god, but who may be disheartened by various things they have seen in the organization.. it is clear to me that many witnesses spend far more time reading the societys publications than gods word itself.
one reason sometimes given is that the preparation and research has already been done for you, thus making it easier.
