Oh how I'd love to sit down and write my whole j.w. family a letter and try to explain how I feel and what I know, but I know they would turn a deaf ear to it or say that I was just crazy. I have a mood disorder *bipolar* and I work very hard to maintain a balance.

It's kinda funny in a way....my family is so wraped up in the j.w. teaching, weather or not they live it or not, they still believe it's the truth. Their whole way of thinking just WEARS me out, but if you ask them, they would tell you that I"m the one that's crazy!

I agree with the post here. Show that you are happy and life is and can be good with the watchtower teachings. It would be so easy to go into a kingdom hall and line all the elders up against a wall and scare the shit out of them with a shotgun, but that wouldn't prove a thing....just make me look crazy! lol I wouldn't do that, but boy I sure have thought about it! =;o)

Suicide

sister disfellowshipped between ages of 17-24yrs old.

i lost track of her between this time as she was in another congregation.

i eventually moved permanently to her cong.

My dad completed suicide in Oct. of 1996.

No matter who they are or how they did it, suicide is never pretty.

My dad shot himself in the head, in front of my mother.

He said he was sick and tired or being sick and tired and pulled the trigger.

It's still tough to talk about..............

Here's a poem I wrote............

Ill never understand

on that rainy Friday night,

Why my dad

took his life.

Didnt he know

there was more life to live?

Didnt he know t

here was more life to give?

Didnt he know

it would break my heart?

Didnt he know

it would tear me apart?

Didnt he know

there was business undone?

Didnt he know

there was songs unsung?

If I had children,

what would I say?

How would I tell them,

he passed away?

Not wanting to go to sleep,

thoughts of that night in my head.

Id fight my fears,

tossing and turning in bed.

Didnt want to think

of that horrible night.

To avoid the nightmares,

sleep I would fight.

For the ones left behind,

the burden to move on.

But the questions never end

and hurt is never gone.

I do love him

and that's hard to say

But I'll work through this,

in my own way.

Maybe one day

I'll know why

Why you abandoned me

on the rainy Friday night.

i think when people leave the organization, they lump it all together- jehovah- religion, organization, etc.

i am not doubtful there is a god, but just doubtful that he used the wts to be his one & only means.

There is no JEHOVAH!

It's like this.....if the Jehovah Witnesses are a crock, then Jehovah is crock.

When I pray, it's to my heavenly father, NOT JEHOVAH. If you search the history of the name Jehovah, it's not even pronounced correctly. I KNOW that there is only one heavenly father and in my opinion, my prayer will get through just fine! YES you will find alot of bashing here, all for a good damn reason!

Bad Day

i'm posting here because i can't find any other forum to post to about this....plus you all know me and you are a great group of people.. i'm having a really bad day today.

all of a sudden it seems to have "hit" me that i had cancer.

i've been all clear for about 3 months, but all the while i've been terrified of it returning.

Have You Lost Your Mind?

its funny when you think about what the dubs say about us, if they know we are out of the org.

for not believing anymore, they think we have lost our minds, that we are crazy, mentally corrupt.

even if one repents and goes back to the borg he is watched like a hawk.. but now if one has sex with a goat or he runs off with another woman and leaves behind his wife and children to provide for themselves, or he screws you out of your money and leaves you broke, but repents he was not crazy, it was a moment of weakness.
