  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  Jon passed away this morning

  my name is kevin and i am jon's partner.

  jon gave me his password a few weeks ago and asked me to post to the board if something happened to him.

  as some of you know jon had been undergoing cancer treatment since the end of july.

  I'm Scared

  before i get started on what i'm afraid will be a lengthy post, i just want to say a few things.

  this may not be the appropriate forum for me to post what i need to say, but i hope that all of you will be understanding and supportive of how i feel.

  i've been lurking here for quite some time and have even been brave enough to make a few posts, so i feel somewhat comfortable expressing this here.. perhaps i should discuss my background a bit before getting to the heart of the matter so you all can understand where i'm coming from.. i am a late 20-something former jw, never disassociated myself but completely stopped attending meetings about four or five years ago.

  crisis of self

  i dont know where to start this but maybe someone out there understands... i have a crisis of not having faith in my judgement of religion.. whats right-or whos right and wrong.. jehovahs witnesses are wrong about so much especially with aview to the governing body etc.. but what if they are right about the rest of it?.

  my kids are so precious,and the decisions are up to me.. i arent up to choosing,and i cant make up my mind.. this war is bringing world conditions to peoples front door,and is affecting everyone.. this might not affect new zealand much,at all whatever but the whole state of mankind.. i cant ever see it improving.. i want to see my kids grow up,have their own kids and no i dont want to see death.. this is geniune guys.. if you dont wanna know please skip this thread.. im wondering if anyone else is honest enough to say they feel the same?

  god needs his axx kicked

  where i live there have been calls for massive prayer meetings for all the victims of the terrorist attack.

  my question would be, if god is so great and loving why didn't he stop the damn planes to begin with?????.

  if the supposed great all powerful being had the power to stop something such as this and just let it all happen, the what fool would think he is going to give a rat's ass about the victims after the fact.. if there is a power who takes action in behalf of the victims, i hope they stomp a mud hole in the ass of those who caused this to happen and when they are finished do a little stomping on god for doing nothing.

  my father in law just called me to see how we were doing here this evening.

  i was glad to hear from him, but of course i got a good dose of jw reasoning along with the concern.. he mentioned he was on his way to a dentists appointment this morning and was listening to the awake!

  hi, folks.

  i know nytelecom works nearby (across the river?

  ), but i can tell you all that today has been (and will continue to be for a loooong time) the single most bizarre, surreal event i have witnessed.. i work in an office building at 26 broadway in manhattan, about 10 blocks from the world trade towers.

  for those of you who struggle a little bit harder every day due to chemical imbalances or from trying to work though issues in your life... for those of you who default to darkness occasionally or frequently and have a hard time seeing and end to the pain.... ((((hugs))))))) to all of you who are hanging in there despite "whatever" it is you are dealing with in your lives, my heart goes out to you.
