Tammy don't vive up! This site is suppose to be for debate and not to criticize what we believe. The attacks from people who do not believe in God is just as bad as a JW trying to convert people. Translators influenced by own believes??

a translator who liberally paraphrases the bible according to how he interprets the overall idea could distort the meaning of the text.

Don't forget that the average JW has no idea what a paraphrased bible is to begin with. They abuse and manipulate these poor souls

i have been on this site for around two months.

in those two months, i have learnt a ridiculous amount of jw history and i now have insight on how humongous of a scam the jw's are.

at first, maybe even a year ago, i would have thought, yeah... the apostates have half-truths and they utilize some truths and then lie about the rest.. well, for the benefit of all the lurkers in here: trust the apostates!

When you can admit you don't know the answer that in itself is true humility. Don’t be afraid if you are challenged, don’t be afraid to look and corroborate what everyone says and at the end, make your decision based on the facts and evidence.

Will this Bible provoke more intense Bible reading and studying or collect dust?

i am talking about brothers who read what they claim is god's word but have no time reading it..

This Bible will probably open up the appetite for the studious ones, but it has definitely opened the appetite for the apostates. Ex-Jw's will always read more.

Will any of these men have a 'crisis of conscience'? It is possible but unlikely. They have too much invested and they just don't seem to have the guts.
