I did hear once that COs and their wives couldn't be overweight. I do believe it is in the guidelines for assembly speakers. Something about overweight men giving a bad appearance. Correct me if I'm wrong.
my daughter asked if anyone has heard anything about a 'big announcement' being made sometime this week in congregations in canada and possibly beyond... in her words "it's like a biggggg long thing, they cut out part of the book study for it and people heard it was a historical thing"... any ideas?
could it be the mexican branch closing or the theme of the convention?
or something else?

in next weeks bible study session for the cult, it says of a march 15, 1926 watchtower, “the faithful will be volunteers .
to tell this message to the people.” so i got to wondering what the ... was all about.
so i happened to have that watchtower, and this is what it actually says.. “the faithful will be volunteers in the day of god's wrath to tell this message to the people.” .
Great quote tepidpoultry
december 31, 2016 to all congregations in the united states branch territory re: 2017 annual meeting and warwick/wallkill dedication program.
So Warwick is not officially Jehovah's until Oct 2017? hmmm. What if one of the 7 dies before then, they won't get to see the dedication...oh wait, they will see it from heaven, never mind.
so our daughter gave my wife and i a very nice family album of photos from the course of the year.
as we opened it, she said it had a surprise hidden in it, so we're watching for something to fall out.
about 2/3 or the way through it we hit an ultrasound print of a tiny baby.
Hooray. Congrats Grandpa!
whenever the wts/jws face being banned or limited in activity the wts is quick to turn to the courts for support for their right to worship as protected under various human right organizations.
when the wts either wins a court case, or looks to curry favor from the courts, such as in greece or georgia, they champion their victory as a win for human rights and religious freedom rights or they cry out for justice under religious freedom rights and human rights.. http://www.watchtower.org/e/19980108/article_01.htm.

Honoring Human Rights Day
so i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.
he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".
he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.
Just reply, 'oh I also meant Thursday. my bad"
For reference, I blocked all elders and nosy people's numbers on my phone. At least I can honestly say I never received any message from such and such. (snicker)
the only reason i ask is cause my brother got into a pickle.
he and a girl sexted she went to the elders and tried to tell on him, but she didn't know what was his congregation, and i dont think that they keep the publisher cards, but do they have his name in file and can just look him up and find his hall or do they need his congregation name in order to catch him?
he told me about this, ive told him to try this out, he wouldn't ..but now i'm curious, whether or not they have him and all his information.
Some elders do ask for proof just to be sick perverts. Not that any is necessary. But, yes. To find the other party guilty they will need the proof.
for those who became jws, were you fully aware of the societys cruel shunning policy whilst studying?
i absolutely had no idea such a policy existed until years later.
it really only hit home when reading the horrendous stories on the internet around 2002. .
I don't think I ever studied anything in writing about it. However, I did hear about someone who was disfellowshipped. I didn't really understand what that meant, but my JW friend was not allowed to hangout with this person anymore. I thought my friend just wasn't allowed by his parents, I didn't know it was an official organization directive.
in the last couple of months, i have been practising my stand up.
