  my dad was a muslim and my mom was a methodist before they converted to jw.now that i am out what do i say if someone asks me my religion???

  it may sound funny to members from western world but where i live you have to mention on any damn form you fill.

  not so easy Met. You see if you say, "I'm sick" and everyone sees you at the mall or out partying, that advice won't fly.

  If that happens, say you have bipolar disorder and they caught you during one of your "manic" periods. A foolproof excuse!

  It's true! There is a psychological way out for everyone.

  when i dropped off my daughter the other day at the daycare, there was a little boy sitting on the floor crying.

  almost everyday there's at least one kid doing that... pining away for their mommy... so i didn't think much of it.

  they stop crying soon enough.

  My four-year-old is learning the beautiful art of compassion.

  Be proud that you have created an environment where she learns it naturally and at a young age. You can't control the world, but you can teach her things--like compassion--and hope that they will help her throughout her life. I wish more young people were so fortunate.

  They were correct. History, the type that children read in school, will be written exactly the way these guys want it to be written. It's unfortunate, but it's the truth. All of the details that indicate their corruption will be omitted and children will read that GWB was an American hero and that Tony Blair was a righteous man.

  Goodbye Hair.

  i haven't posted in a long time, but i did say i'd pop in every once in a while if i had something of significance to say.

  well i thought this was significant enough to share.. a few weeks ago in a moment of altruism i had my hair tested for the "locks of love" program, which is a hair donation program for chemotherapy patients who have lost their hair.

  today i received a letter stating that my hair meets all the requirements for donation.

  i often wonder how most iraqis feel about the presence of troops in their homeland destroying statues, searching through their homes, making sure the oil stays flowing over other basic necessities, etc.

  some iraqis may love the usa for doing what they did.

  but there are probably many iraqis that hate us even more than ever.

  I completely agree. Citizens of other countries are justified in their infuriation with America and the American people. I am an American and even I believe it is outrageous how ignorant most Americans are to the lives of people in other nations. They may not be intentionally ignorant, but there are more resources now than ever and there is no excuse not to consider the global picture anymore.
