what event made you realize that you were serving a phony organization, and what was the turning point that made you see clear?.

That list would be a long one indeed. But basically all the rules, can't do this, can't do that. A JW has to worry about everything, not being able to reason, and having to go to the elders or do research in the WT publication before a decision could be made. Their attitude towards women in general. The blood issue, always being discussed, why we couldn't have a blood transfusion, and studying endless books about why we couldn't celebrate this, celebrate that...the WT is Legalism, Inc.

it was 22 years ago tonight that john lennon died, gunned down by an insane fan, mark david chapman.

i was making brownies and my first husband was watching monday night football.

he called me to the living room and i heard howard cosell make the announcement.

Watching Monday Night Football and that's when Gifford/Meredith/Cosell announced that John Lennon had been shot outside of his New York City apartment.

everone is in confusion

i joined this site last week hoping to meet people that would steer me back to the organization.

instead the people i have talked to her are all trying to tell me too see the light and get out of the organization.

in my opinion, not that it matters, i really think that if a person had the truth deeply ingrained in them, they would never leave the truth.

Why would you want to be steered back into that abusive, pedophile protecting organization? Seriously though, being steered back into the borg is like being steered into a brick wall. There is life after the WT, and life more abundant!

Does praying "work"?

has anybody got any hard evidence that asking for something, through prayer, actually gives them what they were asking for?.

jesus promised to give anything to them that asked.

have you asked for something (in prayer), but it hasn't been given?.

I have prayed continuously for a child, and it hasn't happened. I don't think it's meant to be, that's my take on it.

hi all, i just wanted to put up my first post, so i can be on my way to becoming a jedi :) .

i was brought up as a jo ho, as my friends called me and its amazing so many people have exactly the same experiences.. quite comforting.

KH parking attendants

2-4 brothers in the parking lot to welcome everyone in.

a good idea if it had stayed simple, but he insisted on a drivers ed.

I only remember attendants at the KH when they were expecting a large crowd. Usually that was just once a year, at the annual Watch the Wine and Bread Go By Festival.
