  Truth and Honesty? Why is it only a one-way street??

  the society, "gods channel" teach and expect truth and honesty from all witnesses.

  scripures are often quoted to promote such.. but, why is it only a one way street?

  why is the society not truthful and honest with witnesses?

  The way they interpret the word crucify is just one example of how they go to great lengths to be dishonest. Its so obvious when they write "to the stake with him" instead of just one word "crucify". Just try to mention this word to a "still in", like "the cavillers were Crucified by golden state" and they will just cringe and change the subject. just purposely try to use the word crucify around them and they will start to shun you

  Ted talk

  i like to watch ted talks.. a recent one i watched was "why i left the westboro baptist church" x megan phelps-roper.

  i have never heard of this church ever before after all i am in australia.

  the talk and all the young woman stated as beliefs and dogma sounded just like the jw minus the noisy demos..

  in the imagination of many christians (jws included) the biblical texts tell of each succeeding world power winning its position through the power of its armies, on the battlefield.

  even the yhwh/jesus combo is imagined as winning in an enormously destructive battle.. the knorr/franz nomination for the world power no.7 - the anglo/american alliance certainly gained and still maintains its hegemony via its military power.

  its battle fleets armed with the most destructive power in history patrol the world.

  even when they produce their so called "new light", there's no excitement.

  jws just do their thing and refuse to think about their useless lives.

  This could be copied by any speaker at the "Don't give up" convention, insert a few "Jehovahs" and you have a great talk to the "average" bored JW. Notice at 4:07 the teacher is showing how to be an academic "pioneer". Parallel universe at the university...

  i think the finished mystery book probably contains the stupidest beliefs ever recorded!

  almost any prophecy publication but especially anything to do with revelation, is unbelievable!

  Do JWs Really Bother You?

  in reality my experience with the witnesses is that they really don't bother me or bother with me which suits me just fine....are you "bothered" by the witnesses at this point of your life?.

  Lately I seem to have more pity for them, than being bothered. Most of them just parrot the same phrase over and over, such as "waiting on Jehovah". When a stranger says "Happy Mothers day", the most they can say is "thank you", I think that is pitiful, rather than be cordial and return the small talk, they are trained to just deflect these niceties and ignore the other human,s thoughtfulness.
