  "Watchtower" vs Jehovah's Witnesses

  rattigan350, whenever someone brings up the failings of the organisation we refer to as "the watchtower", tries to define the argument away by saying that the watchtower is a corporate entity and has very little to do with the kingdom halls, the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. could someone who knows their stuff please explain if this is a false dichotomy, using the literature which is used by r&f jws, if possible?.

  it gets kind of tiresome when someone makes a point about something that the watchtower said and mr. apologist comes along and tries to define away what is usually a very good point..

  a spanish court ordered the newspaper to publish the reply of the jehovah’s witnesses to a defamatory 2022 article.

  the court found the newspaper has been fed false information by an association of disgruntled former witnesses and has uncritically published it.. .

  as soon as you see steve letts talk at the agm you think to yourself “oh my, what’s happened to him?.

  his hand has plasters and his skin doesn’t look healthy, like he has inflammation or something serious going on.. he had put on weight and is all bloated and puffy .

  his skin really doesn’t look good, the kind of inflammation many people notice after the experimental covid vaccines.. there have been very high numbers of people reported inflammation after the experimental covid vaccines.

  the gb raise questions then talk about it, unless it’s unanimous they wait, then years later talk again if it’s unanimous it then gets announced as new light.. 2. the gb are imperfect and sometimes make mistakes.

  Both the change to reporting time, and the softening of the teaching about resurrection, would have been sticking points if Tony Morris was still around, I think.

  So the explanation of how the governing body operates was quite timely, although they missed out the part about what happens if a vote is almost unanimous but there's this one board member who keeps standing in the way of progress...

  Thought on “0 hours” reporting

  so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.

  beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

  the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

  This softening up may bring the official teaching more along the lines of what most jws actually seem to believe, certainly what they would tell outsiders if asked.

  But, oh boy, Jehovah's chariot may be running away with itself - if everyone gets a chance of being saved in the end, what exactly is the hard-hitting judgment message?

  looks like we can expect a kinder, gentler jehovah and jesus during the great tribulation.

  the door will not be closed to all non jws at the start of the tribulation.

  but will have time to repent after false religion is destroyed.
