  Would there, or would there not be, lawsuits if they took away the blood transfusion ban?

  i have heard or read, many times by many exjw's, that the org does not remove the blood transfusion ban because it would be crippled by the resulting lawsuits the minute that "new light" was made official.i am not a lawyer, but i would like to know what legal opinion lawyers have on that.on what legal basis would there be a lawsuit?

  "i am suing the watchtower because my relative died because of a rule they had but no longer have"?am i missing something?.

  The above proves something very true and inarguably about Jehovah's Witnesses: they are an ad-hoc religion.
  

  They say and make up things as they go.

  You really articulated something important there! This would be why nobody can be reasoned into becoming a JW, and why so many are reasoning themselves out of it.

  the evangelical church in rome will move to strasbourg to seek justice from the european court on human rights (ecthr) to eliminate the huge tax burden.

  in the meantime, protestants all over the world are amazed by what is happening in italy..

  So basically, Italy is NOT 'going after protestant religions'.

  One little church might be trying to get a tax exemption they aren't entitled to, and is being denied.

  Protestants around the world might, or might not, be 'amazed' at some aspect of this, for sure.

  my wife of many years is more-or-less pomo, but she still (nominally) believes in jehovah and the bible.. she raised her eyebrows when she realized the full scope of the csa problem… rolled her eyes when letto the clown called babies “little enemies of god”… but today, we apparently crossed a real threshold….

  …her response to the governing body being referred to as “our future kings” was….

  I hadn't realised at the time just how slightly tone deaf that was in Norway. I certainly look forward to his delivering that lecture in a Lithuanian court, if it comes to that.

  It may be a relatively small amount of money, but it's currency permanently leaving my country for no benefit. Year after year.

  Some of it ends up with watchtower's abuse victims, but that's a twisted kind of charity.
