  call yourself apostates!

  when in the wt we seldom heard of anyone becoming "apostate", sure there was 1 or 2 in the usa somewhere (durrr) but very seldom would we call anyone who left "apostates", so why does it appear that everyone calls themselves apostate if they left for other reasons?

  the mindset of most jws was that an "apostate" was someone who left the wts to join another religion in the world empire of false religion (btg), right?

  not that it matters at all but just wondering.. .

  The PO in our hall was the best. Everyone always told me how he was the only one that they felt comfortable talking to. All the other elders were either brain dead or assholes. I tend to agree. He was my dad.

  Awaiting punishment.?

  yesterday november 3rd my husband and i had a visit from three elders( grand jury) as we had given them proof of the affliation of the wtbts to the un.they wanted us to recant and say the society was telling the truth (same old thing only for libary pass not ngo) and to say that the un were liars(all 30,000 who work there, apparently jw's also work there).

  when we refused to compromise our integrity after 21/2 hours they departed saying they would let us know their decision!!.

  we were obviously wrong when we thought only jehovah was the judge, so there you go, we were wrong again!

  Are You Embarrassed To Admit You Were A Witness?

  if the subject of religion or even jehovah's witnesses ringing your doorbell has come up, do you shy away from talking about ever being a witness?

  some have indicated that they felt stupid for ever believing in the watchtower.

  others have said they have a responsibility to help others not get involved in this "cult".

  The double dog dare at the Kingdom Hall

  last night i posted a picture of my watchtower jack o'lantern and lyin eyes double dog dared me to take it to the kingdom hall.

  sooo................. after the trick or treating was over, we loaded the kids in the minivan and drove to the kingdom hall.

  i put the pumpkin on the railing on the front porch right in front of the main entrance.

  United Brotherhood?? You MUST be joking!

  i was born and raised a dub, and i've never been able to understand how jw's can claim to be a worldwide united "brotherhood" when there is so much racism within the org.

  when i was 14, my father noticed that i liked a black teenage brother in our hall.

  there wasn't anything to it, we weren't dating secrectly or otherwise, i simply liked him and thought he was a cutie.

  Lin, just so you know, it's not just a black-white thing. My parents counseled my brother years ago when he developed a relationship with a girl who was quite a bit larger than him. 'What will the brothers think?', 'Will you be able to handle the talk that goes on about you?'--those were their questions to him. Whether or not he really did care for her is up for discussion, but we'll never know because they pressured him out of the relationship.

  Realizing that was one of many examples that Jehovah's Witnesses do not worship Jehovah.
