What Did You Choose Jehovah Over?
When I discovered that the "troof" was lies, I walked away. Life is just too short for that nonsense.
some jws believe they have the truth.
they alone understand god, jehovah.
they are very happy being jehovah’s witnesses.👍👌..... many others realize what they have given up for jehovah, to belong to the jehovah’s witness religion.

i see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.
they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??
they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.
I only had three rules for my children.
Rule 1. Treat others the way you want to be treated, but don't allow anyone to walk over you.
Rule 2. Don't get caught.
Rule 3. If you do something wrong, inform me first before I find out from someone else.
does anyone know of any covid-19 diagnoses within any bethels/branches/remote translation centers?.
it would be interesting to see what the gb's policy is when this happens.
i suppose it's bound to happen sooner or later..
Knowing their policies they will kick the patient out the door. Just speculating here.
I was 32 years old.
with many people's jobs been put and "on hold" and other people's jobs going away for good, i couldn't help but think about all the different jobs i've had over the years.
i have been able to adapt and make do.
maybe this will kick in again....or maybe not.
My husband works in auto manufacturing (in the braking system of the auto). He is on layoff because Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, GMC, BMW, Toyota, Audi, and Buick are not producing cars at the moment. His plant is thinking it will be at least August before they will be back to work, hopefully. At the moment he is drawing unemployment, along with many many others.
it was amusing the other evening on the local news to see the increase of drinking due likely to people having to basically stay at home.. the news crew went out on recycle day in a couple of areas during the week.
they showed the general neighborhoods (but not the specific houses).
the reporter walked down the street and looked into the recycle bins.
They are not taking into account that those people who are drinking more, are not drinking more, but are drinking at home instead of pubs, bars, and other locations.
some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.
some will walk near their homes and run right back in.
meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..
I have and it is really starting to stink. Tomorrow (April 2) will be two weeks was the last day my husband worked, so now we only venture out when we have to, which is about once a week.
this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.
I was watching from my community a televised town meeting regarding the Covid-19. The subject came up about capacity rules for bars and restaurants. At the moment the new rules are Bars and restaurants are required to observe an occupancy rate of no more than 50% of the total occupancy rate as set by the Fire Marshal. Tables are required to be at least six feet apart. This is subject to change when the need arises according to CDC rules.
The topic of religious services also came up, yes it was asked, and the answer was that there will be no changes to religious services. After reading about what happened in Italy, and North Korea, and how that was spread so rapidly in those locations because one person came home and went to their church and exposed many many people. Why did they exclude religious services from these same set of rules?
hi, my father is a jehovah's witness.
my sister wanted to do something nice for him and decided to have a shirt made with the ship he was on when he was in the navy many years ago.
he was not in the war, but he said that he can't wear it because jehovah's witnesses don't believe in war.
This might get you started on why he said that. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102002078
The Watchtower tells their members that they are no part of the world, meaning they don't get involved in quite a bit of things, the military is one of those things. I remember when I was a JW one of the things I was told that if a person became a JW, and they had anything such as a cross that was a family heirloom, they would have to destroy or throw away that item.
use your search engine to locate all the lawsuits pedophiles are filling up the courts with to say the "sex registry is unconstituional", "pedophlia is a choice like homosexuality is" and reclassification of their crimes.
consenting male adults is their choice, how can a five-year old boy give his choice to have sex with a forty-five year old male?
you hear things as time passes by, i had the chance to listen to a legal professional say that if gay marrige was approved pedophiles would be banging at the door to get recognized as a social norm.
The problem with their logic that they were born that way, the problem is that their victims did not have a say so in the assault. Before you know it, it will be the rapist who will attempt the same as the pedos. But when you think about it doesn't that make pedos rapist as well?
