To them, the less you know the better. As long as you get all your info from 1 source, you don't have any conflicting information and you can go along with them till the end of your days. Now if you go to a University, you learn many different things and many different points of view. Once you start to realize that there is more to the world than the WT tells its drones, you are on your way out. That scares them, so they try their hardest to stop people from attending college.

Dubs And The Matrix

now, while i do definitely take interest in the writings and rantings of the conspiracy theorists out there, that is all they are, theories.
i have yet to see any of these theories being vindicated.

I watched it as a dub on the way out and made the same comparisons. My ex, who is a faithful? dub watched it too. Well, first when she found out I went to see it in the theatre she got all bent and told the elders I went to see an R rated movie. I just LOL'd. Well, it comes out on video and her sister says how awesome of a movie it is, so we watch it together and she loves it. It becomes her favoriate movie. A little while ago, I made the comparison to her about the WT/Matrix and she denied any similarities. I said some people should stay in because they can't handle the truth that is out there. Her only defense was that the Matrix was a story and her beliefs are the truth. Needles to say, that was the end of that conversation.
You just can't discuss things with a dub.

Just saw a 'Ghost' or something....
by Crazy151drinker inok the weirdest thing just happened to my coworker and i. we went to go pickup our breakfast from accross the street.
when we got back to our building we walked over to the elevators and as we turned the corner we saw someone get into the elevator before it closed.
we didnt see the person exactly but we saw their leg or whatever passthrough before the door closed.

For me it was all the added words for our benifit so we would get the real meaning of what was trying to be said. Hardly a page w/out some words in [].
To me, it was like saying Do not hold any gods before Jehovah['s organization].

Your Favorite Assembly Dramas
by RubaDub ini was thinking back about some of the more memorable dramas at the district assemblies.
i think my favorite was the one about lot and his wife ... the one where she looked back at the city and turned to a pillar of salt.
i also liked the one some time back about the wicked witch of the east and wicked witch of the west ... especially the part where the building fell on the wicked witch of the east because she was unfaithful ... and i liked the way it ended when the entire family including her uncle and next door neighbor were able to pioneer together.

I don't have a favorate because when I came in everyone was talking about how good they were and how they changed. They used to be longer I guess, and more dramatic. (I heard they even turned the lights out) WOAH! talk about party time. I guess people were making out in the audience so they couldn't do that anymore.
