I just looked at the comic strip they've done too. One of the questions at the end really made me laugh - WHY SHOULD YOU LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS WHEN THEY TELL YOU NOT TO DO SOMETHING?
I suspect many little children will respond with 'Because Jehovah will turn us into a pillar of salt if we don't'!!

at the end of article it says the following:.
I've always been taught that children will be judged on their parents' actions, so if a parent rejects the 'truth', the child will be treated as if they too have rejected it.
Makes sense really, seeing as God saw fit to punish the entire human race for something ONE man did.
If you believe what the bible says, that is.

if jehovah and jesus see fit to allow women to be a part of the ruling elite in heaven for a thousand years , who are the g.b.to deny them that privelidge on earth ?
the basis of family life since adam & eve is the complimentary balance of male and female input ,so shouldnt that rule also apply to the governing of a christian congregation ?.

That's so weird, I was thinking that exact thing a couple of days ago. Along with wondering why they don't allow sisters to take the lead in anything, based on the scripture that says women should be silent, but still allow them to answer up, give 'talks' and go on the ministry? Coz that's not being silent at all and is still teaching!

I'm going to be marrying a non-jw, although it'll be a couple more months until I'm officially 'inactive'. I expect to be extremely happy (depression aside) because he's the most wonderful man I've ever met. Much nicer than the single & available JW's I know :-)

think about the dub concept of living as a human being forever on this earth.
it sounds inviting at first blush, but if you think about eternity, what would you do to fill the endless time?.
eventually, you would learn everything, experience everything, understand everything, grow tired of everything.
Whenever I mentioned that 'forever' would be an incredibly long time to fill to my parents, they would say 'Well just think - you could learn every single language in the world in that time'.
Hang on, isn't everyone supposed to be going back to using just one language in the new system? That's about 2 years (3 for slow learners, like me) taken up then. Only an infinite number to go....
That would actually be quite close to my definition of Hell!

My ideal marriage would be separate beds, possibly even rooms. Visits for hugs, cuddles, fun etc by either spouse and sometimes staying in the same bed all night, but also having your own space to spread out.
Think it could keep the spark alive a little longer too, if you're not sure whether you're going to spend the night in bed together every night.
But that's probably just me
i am not particularly interested in the wtbts and their current doings.
or doctrine, or debates about god/evolution.
i am more interested in people, especially ex-jws like me.

i was heading home today, and i saw one woman reading a new world translation.
we made eye contact, but i hope i didn't glare at her or anything... since i was already having a bout with depression today, it didn't help to see her.
so then she gets off the train, right?
I don't usually use this term as I'm not american - but I think you're pretty awesome.
Probably doesn't mean much as you have no clue who I am, but it's still the truth
