One congregation in my area is notorious. The fathers are elders and the sons (in their twenties) are also elders. It's a small congregation because if you are not one of the spiritually elite, your life will be made a living hell until you switch to a different congregation. I know, I was in that congregation for 3 years and was probably the reason my eyes were opened to the truth about "the truth."

You need to change that to did/do you falsely report.
I put anywhere from 2 to 4 hours a month currently. I figure that is just enough to keep me from getting a shepherding call but not so much that they will encourage me to put forth just a bit more effort and aux pioneer. My husband puts around 4 hours a month, doesn't want to go any higher as they might push him to be a MS.
And for those of you wondering why we still turn in time, it's because our whole families are in the Borg, we don't want to lose that relationship right now.

With regards to your apologetic dub friend: give it up for now. If God Himself came down and told him the WTS was full of shit, he would think he had some demon attack. You CANNOT reason with dubs unless they are ready. The teacher only arrives when the student is ready. Bide your time, my friend. And be prepared for the very sad fact that the student might never be ready. Some people just like to live in ignorance and all the facts and logic in the world will not move them from that ignorance.
So true. When I told my mom-in-law about the WTS-UN affiliation, she said there must be a good reason and that she stands behind the society no matter what. The only thing that would change her mind would be if Jehovah himself came down from heaven and spoke to her.

A serious question about the angels that materialized pre-flood

here's my question...did they create for themselves a human body or did they transform themselves into a human body that already existed?
i know this may seem silly, but i was just wondering where the sperm came from to impregnate the women?

Blood issue & my mom

my mom told me that she replied, "there's no change.!
i guess most of the jw's do not have a clue what is going on, and would probably refuse blood components of any kind due to lack of knowledge on the subject and not realizing that some things are now acceptable.
