That is one of the reasons I am never going to amount to anything in the eyes of the dubs. I spent my younger years WORKING (as a working cowboy) for an employer who paid good wages. I set aside savings, bought IRA's, and so forth for the time I may not be working. As a result, now at a relatively young age, while others who are loyal dubs have nothing and are still washing windows part time for minimum wage in their seventies, I am comfortably retired and living on the money I set aside through several decades of saving. Silly me! I could have been a burden living off the sweat of others labour instead of being self-reliant. Then I could have been a good dub instead of a piztjw!

Where are They, And What Are They Doing Now
by piztjw inso the other day i was in a group of jw's who were going on and on about a couple circuit shearer's by the last names of harfman and smeltzer.. as i remember they were both total tools.
one of them i hear is in the dallas/ft worth area (smell sir).. anyone know them, where they are, are they still the total jag-offs that they were when i used to be in the loop back during the late 80' early 90's?.

Men...what do you look for in a woman?

let it rip guys - what type of woman makes you just want to get her know her better - the one that makes you take that risk and walk on over to start a conversation?.

Someone who is not afraid to look like a woman. A person who takes care of themselves, has a very definite air of self-confidence which includes the way they carry themselves.
They don't need to be Americas next top model. I am not that insecure in myself that I need nothing other than an arm ornament. But a woman is IMHO "repulsive" if she cannot look you in the eye, slouches and shuffles along, wears clothes that don't fit (dresses from the local tent and awning store) either no makeup or to damn much, hair that is never combed or styled (oh hell I forgot they aren't supposed to pay attention to that sort of thing), and can carry on a conversation without the incessant bitching, whining and meddlesome gossiping that jw women seem to revel in.
Basically I would look for qualities in a woman that are the exact opposite of what the typical dub promotes as attractive.

by Designer Stubble inpage 8 of the latest wt (insider version) has a whole page dedicated to the question whether it is appropriate to sit next to a disfellowshipped child at meetings.. not sure how to paste this in, but check jw.org.
perhaps someone can do this for me.. horrible, no words really on how pharisee like their cult grip and control has become!.
first of all, without any shame they are talking about disfellowshipped minors.

some love to ask you to enter with them into the "backroom".. of course, there were many that never had run-ins with the shepherds because they were under the radar.. did you ever get interrogatted by the elders and if so, how did it go??

Had three of them "invite" me into the back room. Them: We have had reports that your pickup has been seen parked in front of the S----- D----- Bar on some Friday or Saturday nights, sometimes as late as 1:00 AM. Me: I am NOT getting drunk!. It is NOT prohibited to enjoy live music. I am there alone! Them: Well it might be a source of stumbling to whomever saw your pickup there that late. Me: Who is saying that? Shouldn't they come to me FIRST, instead of running to you men? Them: Well they told us in confidence, so we cannot reveal to you who said it. Me: Then they better d*** well get used to seeing my pickup there. I am doing NOHIN wrong. Them: Well then you really should park a block or two away so they don't see your pickup in front of the bar. Me: Oh so that then when they see my pickup in front of some house at that time you can try to lynch me for fornicating around! Doggone "elders" couldn't see the lunacy of their argument. Of course one of the three was the late night janitor who drove that way home from his swampers job.

Same old same old. I had great sport reading this and applying the questions to the JW's. "Similarly, it is wise to examine religion carefully. If you belong to a religious organization, you are, in effect, putting your spiritual life in its hands. This includes your prospects for salvation." But of course there is no religion that is going to be right except for the JW. According to them. And your soul will suffer eternal damnation if you actually do what they tell you to, and research their religion from an unbiased viewpoint.

you only "think" your family member was wronged.. you must not stand up for family, you must not take their side in a dispute, and you really should just let yourself and your family be shat upon.. this is getting sicker by the minute.
any other observations or thoughts?.
