  i made the following observations about today's wt study:.

  5 jesus inspected, refined, and cleansed his followers between 1914-1919. so if they were cleansed why were they still celebrating christmas and birthdays, something they now claim to be unclean?.

  6 jesus then appointed a "faithful and discreet: slave.

  I noticed that too. The way it is written though gives them wiggle room to make the claim that what was written bothe then and now is true. Technically it may be. However, the deception enters in when they forget to mention the totallity of their claims about 1874 and 1914, and the way what they write is phrased. It is kind of like if someone were to accuse me of taking issue with some of what the WT$ orders are presently. I could say, "I do?" or "I do." Same exact words, but they WAY they are said changes the meaning entirely to fit WHAT point I am making at the time.

  Interesting fact in the NNWT

  i was perusing the index of bible words in the back of the nnwt and found it interesting that the name jesus has only one scripture listed.

  the title christ has five.

  the name satan has twelve.

  I was perusing the index of Bible words in the back of the NNWT and found it interesting that the name Jesus has only one scripture listed. The title Christ has five. The name Satan has twelve. And the title devil has eleven.

  Even the term "menstrual" has more listings than the name Jesus.

  Seems to me like Jesus and Christ would have been referred to more times than Satan and devil or even menstruation by writers claiming to be Christian!

  I made the following observations about today's WT study:

  Par. 5 Jesus inspected, refined, and cleansed his followers between 1914-1919. So IF they were cleansed why were they still celebrating Christmas and birthdays, something they now claim to be unclean?

  Par. 6 Jesus then appointed a "faithful and discreet: slave. Only thing was THEY didn't know it. The wholesome spiritual food changed every few years. What was wholesome became "poisonous" and what was bad food suddenly was good for you. Since 1919 a small group of annointed brothers carried out the responsibility..." Not true! It has only been since the Big Eight in New York decided they were the only ones to be worthy of being the FDS. Prior to that it was the entire group of remaining annointed ones who made up the composite "slave". I wonder how many JW's actually caught THAT provable flip-flop?

  Par. 11 Footnote:December 1, 2998 WT examples of legal victories in various countries. This was to prove that Jesus disciples have protection in their ministry. But what about the legal setbacks and failures. No mention of the other side of the coin! Using only selected, mined, "facts" can prove nearly any subject under the sun.

  Par 13. Consider what the Messianic King has accomplished during the FIRST 100 years of his reign. Using WT "logic" the term FIRST 100 years implies there will EVIDENTLY be a SECOND or THIRD hundred years prior to the Big A.

  Par 14 The time for this to happen is very near. It's just around the corner. The only thing is that there is no corner. Just one big circle!

  Just a few of the things I noticed before I had enough and walked out.

  So this morning the oh-so-typical Ministerial Training School graduate punk eldurr gave a talk about the evangelizing spirit.

  As I was listeneing to him drone on and on about "preach more" blah blah blah blah, "do more ministry" blah blah blah blah, "pioneer" blah blah blah blah, "move where the need is greater" blah blah blah blah, "simplify your lives" blah blah blah blah, I suddenly tuned in when he said,

  "Some though say, 'But you need to be balanced. You need to work, pay bills, provide for your family and so forth.' But think about a bicycle. You can't maintain balance on a bicycle unless you are pedaling hard and moving forward fast! If you slow down even a little, or try to turn you will lose your balance and fall down! So too you must DO MORE, PREACH HARDER, AND FASTER if you want to be balanced. If you don't, just like riding a bicycle, you WILL LOSE BALANCE AND FALL DOWN!"

  Damn. Here I thought that listening to the Bible's advice to "provide for ones own", "let him that does not work, not eat", was good advice. EVIDENTLY not according to the WT$.

  we asked this person if it could be aqbout the terminology change and they said that was already read last week...... we remember the last time they did this.

  got everyone all excited thinking the big "a" was coming and all it was about, was the literature would now be donated instead of charging for it.. .

  New requirement to be Recommended

  per co last night, he mentioned in his talk that in oder for a brother to be recommended as an elder or ministrial servant he must have a regular and meaningful family worship night.

  this will demostrate his willingness not to miss that important meeting and preside over his household.. so i thought, wow what a way to add to the "inspired" biblical list of qualifications.

  serving jehovah is sounding more and more and more organizational..

  A few years ago, when I actually shave a git about trying to "reach out" I asked what I had to work on to progress.

  The eldurr whom I asked replied, "You have to accept responsibility." So I asked him in what way was I NOT accepting responsibility, as I carried out EVERY assignment that I was given "as if to Jehovah." His reply was, "That means you are just doing what you have to! IF you want to ever be appointed you HAVE to give impromptu talks on the TM!"

  I asked, "How am I suposed to give those talks when there are two "fair haired boys" that the school overseer ALWAYS uses?" He said then, "Well you don't comment enough!" I asked, "So how EXACTLY am I supposed to comment IF I NEVER get called on by four out of six conductors?"

  He said, "You're just making feeble excuses. THAT'S why I will NEVER recommend you!"

  To sum up... HS has little if anything to do with appointments. Requirements are pulled out of their asses at the drop of a hat to suit their personal predjudices at the time. Actual written goals in the Bible will be twisted to suit those same personal predjudices.

  .....it was near impossible to tell a Sleepwalking Pioneer from an "ordinary" pioneer because they were both just as slow moving and bored in field sdrvice.

  I just heard (started) a rumor that this loving provision from the GB is going to be started up again. Of course as an added loving provision for the pious sneers there will be large bags of popcorn shipped to the congregations. One bag per part-time pious sneer, and two bags for the full-time pious sneers. They can carefully drop one popcorn kernal every sixty seconds while they are out banging on doors. That way it will be easier to identify which ones are moving, and which ones have fallen asleep.

  Who are these others that they are speaking of?

  They're the same mysterious "others" who are always going to be stumbled out of "da troof" if you go to a nightclub and enjoy a cocktail and dance with someone. Or you go hunting. Or you go to any movie that isn't on the WT approved movie list. Or you listen to music that might get your toes tapping. Or you....well you get the idea.
