We don't know whether Jesus used it or not. Just because it is not recorded as him using it in the Bible does not mean he didn't. The Bible does not record many things he say and the Bible records him as saying things he didn't. (Father, son and Holy spirit)

Why did Jesus not use God’s name Jehovah?
by venus inno one doubts jesus extensively spoke about god’s kingdom because he said: “i must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of god to the other towns also, because that is why i was sent.” (luke 4:43) yet christian sects are divided over the subject whether jesus used god’s name or not.. it is said that god’s name jehovah was revealed to moses.
however jesus knew moses was not trustworthy.
(mathew 19:8) moses born and brought up in egypt could have been influenced by egyptian knowledge.

Neutered New World
by Labate inif, as jesus said, there is no marriage in the afterlife, will our sex drive be removed?.
sex without marriage is fornication, which is a no-no.. if i were young and healthy, being surrounded by young, healthy women, having the normal male libido would hardly be paradise..

Jesus' statement was referring to the ones resurrected to heaven. Spirit beings have no sex. But those on earth will do it.

For Minimus, and other old timers who remember H2O and the early days of exJW discussion boards
by Broken Promises ini'm having a debate with someone on facebook who claims he came up with the term "borg" in reference to the wts back in the mid 2000s.
however i'm certain the term was used on h2o as early as 1999 as well as here when this site was first set up.. can anyone confirm that i'm not dreaming?
what's the earliest you remember seeing the term being used?.

Borg stands for Brookyn organization which is appropriate for the Star Trek reference because people in the organization lose their individuality and function as a collective.

Former CO Willis Bentley
by Rejected inis he on this board?
does anyone know the reason he left?
what denomination is his church?.

I was told this by another Witness:
"According to a circuit overseer, who had Willis Bentley when he was in New Jersey, Willis Bentley is no longer serving as one of Jehovah's witnesses, he left the truth years ago and started his own church. What the CO told me is that the reason he left had something to do with when the Branch stopped allowing them to write their own material and started providing them with outlines, he did not elaborate further as to what kind of church, this happened while he was still in New Jersey, I am not sure if that is where it happened. Unfortunately that is all I know about the subject. This was around 2000."

Elders as Shepherd and teachers
by Rattigan350 inafter the meeting this week and the song and parts about elders, something occurred to me.
the elders don't teach as shepherds.. when nathan confronted david.
he didn't make an accusation stating that jehovah informed him of what david did.

After the meeting this week and the song and parts about elders, something occurred to me. The elders don't teach as shepherds.
When Nathan confronted David. He didn't make an accusation stating that Jehovah informed him of what David did. When one is accused one gets defensive. Nathan presented a story so David could see a different point of view. That one one sees the point and not get defensive.
I can think of times in when the elders brought accusations against me, and of course I got defensive. If they would have taught like Nathan did, as a shepherd and lead the sheep, instead of accusing, I wouldn't have gotten defensive and would have appreciated their direction. But it is not in them to actually shepherd the sheep.

How about filling out a field service report and put random numbers in there but each month put the name of a different person in the congregation on it and turn it in. The secretary will be confused and have to contact those people every month.

Oral sex in marriage was considered unnatural in the 1970s. But what is natural? Dogs by nature, sniff butts. That is natural, should we?

Well Vanderhoven, people on both sides are ignorant. It is not about Daniel 4.
It is about Jehovah's promise to David that his offspring would sit on his throne to time indefinite. That was leading up to Jesus being king. But Jesus lived and died and did not become king. What gives?
David and Solomon on down were kings in Jerusalem subject to no one but Jehovah's laws. That changed when Jehoiakim became a vassel to Babylon in 607.
That would seem to end Jehovah's promise of the kings in the line of David leading to Christ. But that is where Dan 4 comes in. It says the kingdom would be paused or banded for 7 times or 2520 years. That is not from when Jerusalem was destroyed but when the kings became subject to Babylon in 607, or 606 or 605, (who knows), and that would end in 1914, 1915, 1916, then Jesus would become king.

I hate the Watchtower but I really still hate the Trinity Jesus is NOT God!
by Witness 007 insome bibles use the term "worship" when refering to jesus...at times people did fall down and bow to him........this doesn't show he was god!
the greek term; proskeyneo, means to prostrate oneself, to bow down and show honour.
now, this was done for jehovah.....and his representatives....jesus israelite kings and priests....but for the honour of jehovah not as creature worship which even angels would refuse.. also i studied the non-biblical early church gospels which really does show a slow decline over 150 years, into the trinity as the watchtower claims...........although i still hate the watchtower society at least i learnt something that wasn't a lie..

I hate the trinity and always will hate it. The problem is that people take quotes from the Bible and use those to form or support the trinity. The quotes can not be trusted. I don't believe that Jesus said Father, son and holy spirit as there was no contextual reason for him to say it. If it does not make sense, it is not.
