the entire ass-embly was dealing with materialism or higher education; apparantly one leads to the other.
why cant the wts realize that higher education is not just a means to get rich or ahead in this system, but a means to have a career outside of janitorial work?

Hi bonnzo,
I thought about going to the CA to see if I would still know anyone there and see what it was like after 30 years. Was it in Winston Salem or do they have it in another place now? I may be thinking of the DA. I couldn't sit all day anymore in those hard seats anyway so would just stop by during intermission or something.

I guess the WT. got it right, soon means thousands of years. Rev. says Christ is comming soon in it's last verse. The early christains thought that he was comming back soon too. So soon means thousands of years.

What if aliens are the reason we are here, and why the bible is?

i have always loved the series star trek, until it went belly up in over kill.
i always loved the thoughts it brought up, with what would happen if an alien species encountered a less advance or primitive species.

Being Saved
by choosing life inwho all on here think they have been saved and have received god's spirit?
the reason i ask is i want to know what it feels like and how you know this is legitimate?
i did have an "experience" when i was baptized 30 years ago as a witness.

It would be a good feeling to think I was saved. But what would I be saved from? Everyone I have ever known who was saved died just like everyone else.
Romans 6:7 says, "For he who has died has been acquitted from (his) sin."
Death does away with our sins so what does being saved do for you?

What do you look forward to?
by choosing life insince the promises of many of us have been found to be lacking in truth, what do you look forward to in the distant future?.
i know we need to live for the day and enjoy our families and the little things,but do you have hope for a future where true justice will ever prevail?.

Going to Church Today
by Undecided ini am going to church today with my wife.
i was putting on a tie and found my old tie-pin with the hebrew yhwh on it that i had from my jw days.
i thought about wearing it with my tie but just couldn't do it.

Just got back from the church, it's Wesleyan or something like that and they are lookin for a pastor. There was a baptist I think doing the preaching. I didn't feel right there. I can't seem to be able to view the bible or the account of Christ as being true anymore. I'm very skeptical about there being a God, or at least what he is like. I've got to do alot more thinking before I will be able to accept any form of religion or faith. There were no young people there, the youngest was in their middle 50s. It's a small church with about 25 members. They were all friendly and seemed like good people.
The pastor that I knew from the church I attended for a while is comming next week, so I may go one more time, I liked this guy and we were pretty good friends. They are going to have a dinner after the sermon next week so that might be interesting.
Nothing in the bible makes much sense to me anymore and there are too many contridictions and most of it has to be interpreted to make it apply to life in todays world.
I'm still looking.

How Many Clocks Did You Reset
by Undecided ini had 15 to reset to daylight saving time last night.
there was the cook stove, coffee maker, mivrowave, tvs, alarm clocks, electric clocks, wind up clocks, car clocks, wrist watch.
the dvd player and computers did it automatically.

Yep, I missed the answering machine and my wife's cell phone, if it has a clock. I also missed a clock beside the bed which I never see and one in the kitchen.
