  Lurkers! Proof that the Organization is not "Clean"!

  the greatest proof that the organization is not "clean" by its own definition, is this website!.

  consider the number of people - elders included - who post here, thereby associating with "apostates" or expressing their own disbelief.

  in whatever nonsense the watchtower is teaching.

  This is true of all religions, there will be those who don't follow the line, after all it is a human institution. Remember in Paul's writtings where this brother was having relations with his fathers wife and was later forgiven? All religion is a farce if they say they are righteous as a group. There will always be those who are sinning according to their rules. Some are just not as controlling as others. I just try to be the best I can but sometimes have fallen and try to not repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

  Pat Robertson Prediction

  i didn't see this anywhere here, so thought you might be amused by this story.. i was watching fox news this morning.

  they had a quick story about ole pat robertson predicting a major terrorist strike in the us sometime after september of 2007. millions would be affected (he didn't specify killed or what, just affected...).

  but the kicker was this:.

  There is a good probability that something will happen sometime this year. If he happened to guess it right, it would be a gold mine for him. If not it will just pass without a notice.

  Doesn't Look Good For 2007

  i got up this morning and turned the thermostat up and the furnace wouldn't light.

  so far i haven't been able to fix it.

  the gas won't come on to light it.

  Well, good things do happen. My furnace came on fine this morning when I raised the thermostat. I thought I would give it a try before I went to the basement to work on it again. Now I wonder if it will continue to work.

  I used an electric space heater to keep the house warm last night. It's not very cold here now. I think it was 40 degrees last night. Let's hope that it keeps working.

  Thanks woodman, I have checked most of those things but not the gas valve to see if it has 24 volts. I have replaced the circuit board once before with the same problem of not lighting.

  I got up this morning and turned the thermostat up and the furnace wouldn't light. So far I haven't been able to fix it. The gas won't come on to light it.

  I went out to my car and the back right floor board was full of water, it rained all night and it must have a leak..

  I'm afraid to check anything else. On a good note, I did wake up this morning.

  Faith healing among Witnesses

  there is this guy on television, with the most amazing comb over, that is a faith healer.

  his name is benny hinn, and it always seems like when i turn by those christian networks in my channel surfing, i catch a glimpse of this guy.

  he is always healing people (supposedly) and doing the slap on the forehead to do this.

  I remember this when I was on the basketball team at high school.

  The one that gets me scoffing is organized sports teams prayers.

  The coach would have us all bend over with our arms around each other and say the Lords Prayer. I felt uncomfortable doing this as a JW but I didn't refuse to do it.

  Just sitting here on this computer as my wife and sister are singing some religious songs together. Her sister plays the piano in church. It's 10 minutes before 2007. I'm ready for my bath and bed. Not much of a celebrater.

  there were twelve actors that i liked that died this year.

  most of them were about 10 years older than me.

  that means, that if i'm lucky, i've got about 10 years left.

  Well, I went to church this morning. The pastor is the same one that I like as a person and I didn't mind seeing the ones there, they were friendly and all welcomed us there. There are not many at this little church, maybe 25 or so. If only I could believe what was being said. I'm still waiting for something to convince me that God is the one talked about in the bible. It just seems to me that man made this God rather than the other way of him making us. He had everyone hold hands in a big circle and prayed, I actually tried to get some feeling of Christ being real but it didn't happen.

  I haven't given up on a God but maybe he has given up on me.

  Yea, JB. If we are living during the last trumphet I'll be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Oh, I forgot, you have to be a born again as a believer. The more I go to church the less I beleive. They just keep telling me I'm going to hell with the devil and be BBQed.

  There were twelve actors that I liked that died this year. Most of them were about 10 years older than me. That means, that if I'm lucky, I've got about 10 years left. It's hard to accept that my time is rapidly running out, or maybe I'll live to be a hundred and have 29 years left.

  Since you can only live one day at a time, I guess I have the same time as anyone else today. Since my wife wants me to go with her to church today it will seem like a lot of time.
