over a year ago i made some extrapolations from a poll on jwd that conservatively suggested about 5,300 jw molesters in the usa, or about (1) jw pedophile for every (2) jw congregations in the united states.

given that pedophiles molest many victims, at least 70 or more in their criminal careers by conservative estimates, this can add up to a lot of victims --- not all are necessarily jw victims --- but still the collective crimes of jw pedophiles would average over 370,000 victims.. since that time that over 5,000 victims have come forward to email, phone, and write letters to silentlambs --- as stated last night on connie chung/cnn.

Hi Amazing,

I am a little skeptical about that number also. Most men don't even come in contact with that many children who could be molested, I haven't in my whole life. Maybe if they worked with children in some way that could be possible. There never were that many children in any congregation that I attended.

my wife just told me about a guy where she worked who told her how he got rid of the jws at his door.

when he saw them comming up the drive way he took off his shirt and just cracked the door enough for them to see his bare chest as he bent over sidways.

he said,"we are nudist and you will have to take off your clothes if you come in.

Phone Call About Emily(Grandaughter)

last night about 12:00 we got a phone call from my step-daughter, she is in blacksburg, va visiting her husband who is working there for a few weeks.

she takes the kids and stays a few days with him at the motel.

her daughter was watching emily for a few minutes and was riding her on her neck when her hands slipped and she fell backwards onto the cement from her shoulders, she hit her head and was knocked out.

Last night about 12:00 we got a phone call from my step-daughter, she is in Blacksburg, Va visiting her husband who is working there for a few weeks. She takes the kids and stays a few days with him at the motel. Her daughter was watching Emily for a few minutes and was riding her on her neck when her hands slipped and she fell backwards onto the cement from her shoulders, she hit her head and was knocked out. She was taken to the emergency room at the hospital. She got a concussion and bruises. Her sister was hysterical and so was her mother.

This morning she seems OK. Tough little girl but has the worst luck. We started to drive up there but they called and said she was back in the motel and was doing OK.

now that i am a long away from religion, i have to ask, what is the need for this prayer thing?

Since there are millions of prayers going on at any given time, God has a big computer in the sky that catorizes them and ramdomly assigns a yes or no answer and sends out an angel to get it done. It's sort of like a lottery, you just might get lucky and move that mountain into the sea.Mark 11:23,24.

my wife and i, along with her sister and friend went on a picnic today to the mountains of va. about an hour and half drive.

My wife and I, along with her sister and friend went on a picnic today to the mountains of Va. about an hour and half drive. On the way someone asked what day of the month is it? I looked at my watch and said the 10th. It didn't ring a bell to me. A little later my wife said today is our aniversary. Damn, I forgot again. I just can't remember it anymore, after all it's been 28 years now. I'm in the dog house again.

At least we had a great time up there in the park, it was cool, the trees were beautiful and food good. As I sat there I almost cried, just enjoying nature, life and the peaceful atmosphere. I told my wife that 28 years ago that was one decision that I made that wasn't dumb, when I married her.

If God really did inspire the bible to inform man of his thoughts and what he requires of us, then I don't have much confidence in his ability to communicate with his creation. Just look at the religious situation of the world, I think it went right over their and my heads. You seem to be the only one on earth who got the message, do you think that's fair of God?

New found relatives

i had one of those major dilemmas this morning.

basic question swirling through my mind was "can i wear jeans?".

i only recently have some contact with my dad.

Hi Viv,

No one except my mom was a JW on her side of the family, but all my dad's relatives were JWs. So from my youth it didn't seem as though my mom's side of the family was really family. I never was close with any of them. I missed a lot of love because of this. We visited them often but they were worldly so this feeling of "we're better than you" got in the way of real closeness. Almost all of them on both sides of the family are dead now, so it's too late to change it now.
