I was on H2O back then and came here 6 years ago. I didn't know it existed back then. I have enjoyed it so much since then. I'm an addict now.

I was the WT. study conductor for years and can't remember any problems with no hands raised. I was a BS conductor also at the same time and can't remember any problems with answers. Of course I can't remember much of anything from those days.

Hi Fred,
If there is a God, I don't think he would be like the one described in the mythical man made book called the bible.
Before man knew good and evil he put him through a test of eating a little fruit and made his life miserable, as well as all other humans since untill they all die. Can you imagine how you would view a man who did his son this way, and all his offspring for thousands of years. What is he waiting for to correct all the evil that his little devil creation caused.
Why will a new earth and new heaven be any different from the original perfect one? He's going to let that devil he created come out of his hole for a while after a thousand years and stir up trouble again, but this time he's going to take care of it immediately by doing what he enjoys best, destroying humans and this time the bad spirits too. Then we can't say the devil made me do it if we do something wrong.
I wonder if the animals will still get sick with desease like they do now or will he cure them also? And why didn't he make a spirit Jesus so the repentant angels could get saved and the new heaven be like the new earth? Oh I forgot, he had to change 144,000 good humans to spirits so they could be the new heavens.
It all seems so logical.

Someone to be Accouintable To
by Satanus ingrowing up w a very demanding/strict/abusive father, and w the wt religion and the yhwh god, i always felt that i was accountable to those authority figures, 24/7.
in my teen yrs, i had to leave home, so my accountabiblity to my father diminished.
he was dffed a bit later on.

What's the difference between humans and animals if there is no God

If there is a God there is still little difference between animals and humans except humans have more ability to think. We live a few years, raise offspring, get sick by some bacteria or virus and die and so do the animals. What is the big difference because of a God?

Why not just leave religion alone altogether?
by dawg ini was wondering why many of you turn to to other religions after being freed from the foolishness of the jw's?
after i relieved myself of the burden of the foolish witnesses, i was able to understand god in my own fashion and i've never felt better.
many religions pratice mind control similar to the wittnesses so why not free yourselves from all of them?

I go to church ocassionally with my wife to satisfy her and it's kind of interesting to see first hand how they act there. I'm getting more and more convinced that it is a worthless venture for me. My wife isn't too happy with any church right now, she knows too many who attend the local ones and their life is just as immoral as those who don't attend.(Especially those who have some special service in the congregation.) Some people get some kind of healing by going and can face death better. I'm just not convinced that some God is even interested in any religion and think it is all invented by humans and their need for some answers to questions that can't be known.

Last night I got my invitation to attend the Memorial. Anyone else?
by Rayvin inlast night around 6 pm my door bell rang and it was a witness handing out nicely done invites to the neighborhood.
my dad still hasn't been notified about it yet.
he is only aware of it through another person just mentioning it.

Why was only 12 invited to the original meal from which the memorial is fostered? If it was important for all to attend why only a few were there in the beginning? Sort of like some of the rituals for other made up Gods.

the teachings held on to me.
more so than the emotions and i did not have family in the organization to tie me down.. disconnecting yourself from watchtower thinkwhen you first discovered what the society was behind the scenes how long did it.

About 20 years. I would attend the memorial each year but wouldn't brother with other meetings. I would take some of the literature when my aunt would come by but never read it. CofC cleared my mind after reading about it on the forum before JWD was created.
