The story of Bo Juel Jensen - the man behind the Anti-Watchtower media campaign in Norway
by cedars inhi guys.
richard e. kelly has kindly contributed a great article to jwsurvey.org on the link below.... http://jwsurvey.org/child-abuse-2/bo-juel-jensen-could-he-be-watchtowers-worst-nightmare.
richard tells the story of bo juel jensen, an ex-witness who has been doing marvellous work in raising awareness of watchtower child abuse mishandling in norway.. as with most child abuse victims, bo's story is a disturbing one.

I can't stop thinking about this. Now this is probably a stupid question, I'm new to this forum, and my knowledge of witnesses is based on my childhood, but I'm puzzled....
I know that we were taught to dogmatically obey the rules of the world except when they conflict with Gods laws.
For example my parent was rigid about declaring every cent of earned income and paying tax on it, even though they had a cash in hand job (as a cleaner ofcourse!!!).
but when someone has committed a serious crime, do elders believe that witnesses are not subject to the laws of this system?
Where is this in scripture?
Was it ever in a talk or article?
Do rank and file witnesses know this?
How do the elders think this ok?

Thanks cedars, this is so impressive. Bo Juel Jensen has an incredible story, and sadly there are plenty more like it out there.
They are cowards when faced with the issue of child abuse. Sweep it under the mat & hope it goes away.
I've heard stories about what has gone on in Australia, what Bo is doing will bring more forward I'm sure.

WTS Advice for Kids: Beat a Bully
by Darth Rutherford inwow... the irony is amazing.
so here we have a cartoon about how to deal with bullying, which in itself is a positive message.
what's incredible is that it's brought to you by a religious organization that dominates your life, and requires absolute, loyal submission from its members.. if you should dare stand up and question its unique, ever-changing, brand of contradicting "christian" doctrine, then you will be labeled as "weak", "worldly", "bad association", and possibly an "apostate".

Hey balaamsass, well done! Why should they be immune from the laws of the land? If you were beaten up by a stranger on the street you'd report it, right?
JWs have created a culture in which bullies thrive, from the platform, in the congregation, in marriages.
This is because they care more about the reputation of the organisation than about the safety of any individual members.
In this way they are the same as other religions.

Lois , I'm so glad you are happy & free and the JWs didn't get all your life.
Same goes for you Besunny. They will never apologize.
I don't think that JWS even know what abuse is, the lines are so blurry. I remember seeing parents hit their children, really hard. Remember how love was synonymous with discipline? These kids grew up & are now married with kids, it's a continuing cycle.

Hey Sulla, ex JW here, I met my atheist (now husband) in the mid 90's
Back in 95 i told him about the prediction of Armageddon in this generation that saw 1914, and he said rhetorically " so what happens when it doesn't happen........(no reply from me, cause even though i was out i couldnt comprehend the Borg being so wrong ) .......I'll tell ya, they're just gonna change the rules....hahahahaha ha"
at the time I remember thinking you don't understand witnesses, now, I think he understood better than I knew

Another sad non jw falling for a baptised jw girl story
by spirituk inok ,so this is my story , this jw girl came on vacation in my country as a friend of my girl-cousin who is not a jw but were classmates at uni .
my cousin introduced her to me but she didnt tell me that she was a jw from the very first moment we flirt each other.we went on beach ,on bars ,cafes etc and she acted so wordly ,in fact i thought she could be a good one night stand with her behaviour .never saw anything weird about her that could lead me to question something, with the peak in the club where we danced together while hugging very passionatly .
i tried to kiss her that night but she kept her distance , i didnt notice any bad on that.anyway, next day we flirt again at the the beach and at night too .

This is a sad story, sad for you. No good can come of this,
It sounds like she is a long long way from being free of the JW, she may not even want to be.
Look after yourself and move on

My Story Part 2 - by 88JM
by 88JM inpart 1 here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/243954/1/my-story-part-1-by-88jm.
part 2. so my parents married in 1980 and my older brother was born 2 years later in 1982. by this time, my grandparents had moved into the house next door to my parents.
my dad was still working for yorkshire water and was in a very well paid position by the time i was born in 1988. between these years, my mum had also had a miscarriage, though this is rarely mentioned in our house these days, but i'm sure it must still affect her.. there aren't many notable events that i can recall from before i was 4 years old, though i was later to learn that my dad was having an affair at this time.
