  Are Women better dancers than Men?

  i have always heard women say that men can't dance.

  it seems they are right most of the time.

  No way Rattigan! Dancing is an amazing release......I danced all through the 90s raves/club stuff whatever :) I'm a girl.

  I knew I had to give my son dance, so from when he was born music blared & we moved & grooved to the prodigy, Metallica, red hot chilli peppers, rap, beyonce, etc etc.

  He's a teen now, and a confident groover!

  Some men seem really disconnected, like they don't even hear the music, just move their bodies in some way that they think = dancing. But, all little kids are great dancers, so what happens? Is it lack of practice? So the ability just dies? I don't know.

  I called the police.

  i stay at my grandmother's house and pay a little rent to her (r500) as it is all i can afford.

  i do however buy and take care of all my own food, washing etc.. this morning at 6 am, my bedroom door opend, slammed shut, heard the key turn a couple of times, open and slam shut again.

  i woke up with a fright as that has never happened....first thought is someone is in the house.

  Loubelle, from how you've described your grandfather he sounds like a narcissist. Narcissistic personality disorder... Can be initially very charming, seeking attention, always focused on themselves :- then when anything doesn't go their way, people don't bend to their will...watch out!

  I don't know what city you are in in SA, hope you can move away from him ASAP.

  ive read in other media of people getting ESL (English as second language) teaching qualifications fairly simply & going & teaching English in China. Apparently it was pretty well paid, anything like this an option for you?

  What do you mean?! I ALWAYS go to the beach after service and wear long pants and button up shirts while I play a game in the sand with my family! Sometimes I wear button up long sleeve shirts too!

  you always want to set an example.. so i couldn't help but share this beauty in the january 15th, 2013, study edition of the watchtower.

  Sydney beaches... We cover up, but more stylish than that picture. Mums wear bikinis/one piece with floaty see through caftans, beads, sarongs...............you've still got to look pretty!

  Teens will die rather than wear rashies in my experience. Bikinis rule.

  boys wear boardies. But not baggy...kinda tight, once again rashies are an abomination, how will girls check out those muscles?

  Just wondering what is the JWs stance on the existance of dinosaurs ???

  was pondering today on the jws stance on the existance of the dinosaurs.

  would be interested to know any belieavers stance on this eg.

  your own belief and that of the wts current understanding.. insidentally i tried to search this on jw.org and no search bar, or at least i didn't find one ????.

  For the born-in/raised in, you ever get resentful upon seeing kids involved with organized sports?

  this past saturday, i was watching the georgetown/syracuse game, and a nike commercial was played during one of the breaks.

  i couldn't locate the exact commercial, but below is a variation of it that has scenes from the same one that aired on saturday.

  man did i feel some heavy resentment towards the wt during and especially after the commercial aired.

  Oh Roberta, your story just killed me! I feel it too, I was a born in who never got to do anything.

  Gymnastics was my thing, as a little kid I used to cartwheel, stretch & backflip till I would puke. No training, no opportunities.

  I'm really flexible, so I used to dream about being a contortionist or something (like Cirque du Soleil). I had so much potential, cause back then I really was fearless & I loved it.

  Anyway, in my 40s, practising yoga everyday for the past few years, and the feeling has come back! I've started training, pushing my body to the limits of what it can do...and it can do a lot, even now at this age.

  so I'd say to anyone who resents not doing sport, it's not to late!

  My kids get every chance at sport, my son has played football for years, skis & my daughter does cheerleading! It makes me really happy to watch them, but it is kind of bittersweet, I look at that padded floor my daughter tumbles on, and the fact that she has a tumbling coach & just think wow! What I wouldn't have given for that!

  hello & welcome, I'm in my 40s as well, born in. Left the JW in my 20s though, so my husband & kids have never known TT...except for a few stories from me!

  must be incredibly tough to be in with your family & have doubts, I hope posting will help.

  okay, so the jws (and my mom) would be so happy if i started going to meetings again.

  i've made it clear i don't believe what they say so why would they care if i went to meetings?

  do they want me to go meetings and be an open dissenter?

  Yeah, shamefully I think it could be possible to be sucked back in. It's why I can never just see them as a joke.

  There is something malevolent in their whole operation, the manipulation of people's psyche.

  That circular reasoning, it's like a vortex that could suck you in, that's why I could never go anywhere near a meeting.

  luckily I'm not welcome!

  Crisis of Conscience ...should we sell the book or keep it?

  we have a copy of this book and are wondering if we should sell it...is it worth anything?.

  amazon says it's worth 20 dollars.

  will it ever get to be worth more if we keep hold of it?.
