Can a body shop steal your car
by bboyneko incan a body shop refuse to return your vehicle for an unpaid bill, especially if the signed repair order does not authorize any billing without an estimate?.
does this constitute stealing?
how can they possibly refuse to return property that belongs to you?

I told my dad this morning.........
by lv4fer inhe asked if i was going to the circuit assembly this weekend.
he asked why.
i just said after a long pause, dad it's not the truth (you have to understand that i'm the one who preached to this man and got him in the truth) the conversation lasted about 5 minutes with him saying well who else teaches the right thing, you have to understand, jehovah has to have an organization.

Courage in the face or persecution....remember that line? Well, remember too that JWs have always set themselves up for disappointment. This comes when they get disappointed their own children might want to make up their own minds, or live a life free of guilt, or be adults for that matter. If he's hard hearted he may do like so many other JWs have done by shunning and become a disappointment to you and not the other way around. I hope that isn't the case and he really loves you and your family.....do tell us more when you are able.

Sleepy is part of the Evil slave class
by sleepy insleepy is part of the evil slave class, so says one of my "best friends".. i used to work cleaning widows with this friend, then about 3 years ago he went to bethal in london.didn't see him much since then, but last year at the assembly i spoke to him and he had heard off another friend that i was having doubts.. anyway he says "if the faithful slave told me to wear a pink shirt and a green ties with spots i'd do it" as if this was going to turn me back to the fold.. today my wife bumped into him in town, (he was back home visiting his family) first thing he says is "is ***** going to the meetings" my wife says "no he dosen't believe it anymore" "he's part of the evil slave class " he says along with a load of stuff about "true org, love among selves" and all that maloney.. he thinks i am in an org run by ray franz appanrently.. my wife is unable to answer his accusations as she doesn't know what to think at the moment.. its nice to know my friends are making an effort to help me and not judgeing me without even talking to me.

Sounds like they're some of your people to me. Heaven forbid the modern world use a humanistic view towards the bible. So much easier for you to say "your religion has been feminized" or "you put yourself above god in your worship because you prefer to think of a more human god rather than a one that just tolerates all the pain and suffering..."? It seems to me that clash is taking a much more mysoginistic path now than before.

by avengers inshe said to me the reason the watchtower was involved with the u.n. was because two bad brothers signed up without the wt knowing about it.

In Terrel, Texas in the late 70's or early 80's I believe there was a congregation that split over beliefs. The opposing group still wanted Hall privilidges as well. Could this be considered a collective resignation? Is there any info on other congos that have done so? It would also be interesting to know the greatest number DFd at one time for the same reason, or just left for that matter.

It might help clash if you and I existed in the same secular world. Mine doesn't include one that displays a disregard for gay people and their feelings, believes in going off on tangents to make a case for jesus at every turn, or believe that you could foist the biblical idea of gender roles on any informed group of people and get any respect. Call me arrogant if you want, but it seems less complicated and much more secular to me, if you set your bible down in an attempt to reason through any of the mess you have espoused. You've gotten so far from the original topic I doubt this is even an option.

it's around 4 feet high, made of clay and weighs as much as a small elephant.. anyone else tried one of these things?

Hey man, I have one and here are a few things to consider. Hardwoods are best for burning in them as they will burn slower and keep the chimnea warmer longer...the whole point is to be able to sit outside when there's a definite nip in the air, and not have to have a bonfire. You may not be able to get Pinon wood which is the best, but apple, cherry, cedar or other aromatics will do nicely. Don't forget that bottle of scotch or cognac while you're outside staying warm. And above all, don't use it to cook...the material used to construct the chiminea may not be totally non-toxic. Enjoy!
